sypnosis you and satan were a couple for 4 years, and you always tolerated how inlove he was with you, i mean, you were living any human's dream! but one day, your friends start telling you that his actions aren't normal, that he's too obsessed. at first, you ignored them, but the thought wouldn't leave your mind. so one day, you break up with him. now? he's worse than ever. (btw, u dont live w the brothers in this au)
"MC, so, is it true you broke up with Satan?!" A demon came up to you, not even noticing your tired look. You had just broken up with him last night, how did people already know? "Yes, I did. Now, who told you that?" You asked reasonably.
"Who told me that? Half the school - if not the whole school itself - is talking about it. Satan's eyes are red, he hasn't spoken a word, not to his brothers, not to any student, to anyone. He's only been writing in a journal, and when one demon tried to look at what he wrote, she was then burned to crips. Literally."
"Oh my.." You just mumbled silently. "I- .. Thanks for telling me. Leave." The demon, a bit frightened, left. Your next class was with Satan, the only one you had today. You gulped, trying to figure out your game plan.
Walking to class, people gave you stares left and right. It was like when you first entered RAD. Except that time it was with hunger. This time, it's with pity.
You sat next to your usual spot, with him. You give him a light wave, and he just stares at you. Fiercly. You can see tear stains on his face, you can see bites on his lips with the skin ripped apart, and you can see blood on his shirt. It was a devasting sight. A part of you wished you could have back the cat-lover who looked at you with heart eyes.
You awkwardly smiled, eyes now on the professor, and he went back to writing, giving you stares here and there.
Now, it's Friday. You're in your bed, scrolling on your phone, crying. You miss Satan more than ever. You don't know how you even got the idea of leaving him. But you have way too much dignity to even try and text him. You then hear a knock on your door.
You sit up, wiping your tears and trying to fix your hair, to look at least somewhat presentable. You, with weak energy, go and open the door.
Only to reveal the blonde you're here sobbing for. "'tannie- I mean, fuck, sorry, Satan?" You said, as his old nickname slipped out.
"Here." A stack of papers.
"Hey! What are- ugh, nevermind.."
You stare at the stack of papers in your hands, the weight of it feeling heavier than you expected. The top page is blank, but the others are filled with words. Slowly, you sit down on the edge of your bed, your heart hammering in your chest. What could he have written?
Without thinking, you flip to the first letter, and you recognize his handwriting immediately. You start reading, the words flowing like a flood of emotions that you've been missing.
"I don’t even know where to begin. How do I apologize for loving you too much? For caring about you so intensely that I drove you away? I should have known better. I should have seen it sooner. I wanted to protect you, to keep you safe, to love you in a way that would make you feel cherished every single day. But somewhere along the way, I let my love become a burden for you. I became too obsessed with keeping you close, too focused on every little detail of your life, and I know now that it suffocated you.
I didn’t realize how overwhelming I was until you left. I didn’t understand how my actions, no matter how much I thought I was doing it for you, made you feel trapped. I wanted to be the one you turned to, the one you needed, the one who could make everything better for you. But I became the one who made you feel like you had to escape. I am so sorry, MC. I never wanted to hurt you. All I ever wanted was for you to be happy, and I thought the way to make you happy was by being by your side, always. But in trying to hold on so tightly, I pushed you away.
You were never mine to control, and I was a fool to think I could. I should have given you space when you needed it, I should have trusted you more, trusted us more. But I was selfish. My love became something that was about me, not you. And I hate myself for it.
I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me. Not because I think I deserve it—because I don’t—but because I need you to know that I never stopped loving you. I never will. And I understand now that love is not about possession or obsession.
If you ever find it in your heart to come back, I promise I will never make the same mistake again. I will love you in the way you deserve: with respect, with patience, with the understanding that you are your own person, and I am just lucky enough to be a part of your life.

This was only the first of one thousand letters.
When you got to the last one, which took 24 hours straight with barely taking a break to go to the bathroom, not even to eat or shower, you cried horrendously, you couldn't breathe. You crawled to your phone, eyes blurry, as you looked for Satan's contact and called him.
On Satan's point of view, he jumped, his heart raced. He had everyone's notifications off. Except yours.
"..'tannie?".. You cried desperately, making the name less sound like one and more like a broken whine.
"..please, god, come over. I need you."
Your pact mark flashed green as the blonde was now on the floor sitting on his knees, next to your own body, you cried, hugging him tightly as he did aswell. He held you like you were going to dissapear if he let you go.
"I k-know that.. well, maybe we hic aren't the most healthy relationship.. but.. I- I just can't ever let you go. I can't be myself without you, I just simply am nothing with you, 'tannie." You whispered, your voice cracking as your choked sobs came out.
Just held you in his arms. Tightly.
He'll never let you go again.
