What's with people, primarily antis using words like "fetishize", "glamorize", "normalize", ect? Is it only because it's a buzzword?

I will explain why i think so:

Our terms and policies no longer apply once you leave artfight.net. We do not regulate what is posted outside of Art Fight and will not search through offsite activity unless given a legally serious reason to (e.g investigating claims of pedophilia).

Feral is not zoophilia or beastiality so you would think that wouldnt be grouped up as a "legally serious reason" but if they believe feral is bad enough that you cant even sexualise a normal plane because its feral.. it feels safe to say they will ban for that.

They banned someone for using the omegaverse tag on sfw characters before under the reasoning "endangering minors", the artist didnt do sexual omegaverse... they used it to explore gender and stuff. iirc the minor character was an AU version of their own adult character, so like childhood design. Ill send the reddit link once i find it again

Labels like these have been hijacked and warped by bad actors.

Even if you, personally, are using proship to mean anti-censorship, there are some very, very vocal and aggressive people that use it for more nefarious reasons and go out of their way to harass those they deem as "antis" (who usually do not even identify that way.)

As a result, the label has been dragged through the mud to an irreversible extent, and most are not going to assume you mean anti-censorship when you say you are proship. The first thing that comes to a lot of people's minds is the weird, confrontational proshipper with a sesquipedalian, "you stupid minors" way of speaking, that talks down to others and leaves passive-aggressive anon messages in askboxes. Even I, regretfully, have begun to see the label as a bit of a red flag, because that's my primary experience with it in the modern day.

I come from the deviantArt days where proship meant exactly what it says on the tin, pro shipping, and I even labeled as such back in the day, so I understand the frustration of having the label warped this way. It sucks major balls that I have to be wary of people who use it.

I think this term needs to be laid to rest at this point, unfortunately. It's pretty far gone.
