If I understand correctly, these are ceramic bowls floating in a pool of water, possibly in a cave because it’s echo-y, and the clinking sound is them bumping into one another. Like wind chimes, but … water chimes?

yo, i saw this in person over the summer! it’s an art installation!

the piece is called clinamen v.2, created by Céleste Boursier-Mougenot and included as a part of the Soundtracks exhibit in the moma - i saw it in san fran, and this photo is from a showing in new york:

the exhibit is a large shallow pool filled with white ceramic bowls in varying sizes. the bowls are pushed around the pool by a gentle current, and the sound created as they hit each other is somewhere between a wind chime and a haunted bell.

i sat there for a solid ten minutes just watching the bowls move around while listening to the sounds they made. it was absolutely hypnotic…

Soundtracks runs in the san fran moma until january 1st 2018, and i absolutely recommend going if you can. many of the exhibits play with sound in 3D spaces, and there are some truly wild contraptions on display.

I wonder if in the future I can have my consciousness transferred to an android and I can sell my organs for money. Because I read that a human body could be worth up to $45 million dollars. And I’m assuming by the time this is possible android bodies will be maybe a couple million. (I have no clue actually)

Pros- You get to redesign your whole body. You get money. Probably live a lot longer than regular humans.(this can be a con too)

Cons- Could I be shut down without my consent? Not sure how pleasure works in androids. Can I eat food and cum? Never experience how good sleep feels.

More pros: If you don’t eat you save money on food, save money on toiletries, no more periods, no more bras (android titties will be sitting up high), you don’t need to buy expensive ass mattresses, you probably just need a clean little place to charge yourself, I will probably never feel physical pain ever again (VERY BIG PRO)

More cons: Humans will probably be very discriminatory against androids (because that’s humans), Possibility of getting hacked and deleted, I’m not sure if I was an android I would be able appreciate the beautiful things in life like being in nature, or falling in love, no sleep means no dreaming (very big con because dreams are super cool sometimes), my family will probably think im the feds
