“Stop thinking about saving your fragile face. Tell us your particularized world. Make up a story. Narrative is radical, creating us at the very moment it is being created. We will not blame you if your reach exceeds your grasp. We will not blame you if your words go down in flames and nothing is left but the raw-scald. We will not blame you if, with the reticence of a surgeon’s hands, your words suture only the red places where blood might flow. We will not blame you because we know you can never do it properly: once and for all. Passion is never enough. Talent is never enough. Skill is never enough. But try. For our sake and yours. So. Forget your name in the street; tell us what the world has been to you in the dark places and in the light. Don’t tell us what to believe, what to fear. Show us belief’s wide skirt and the stitch that unravels fear’s caul. You, so blessed with occasional blindness, can speak the language that tells us what only language can: how to see without pictures. We tell ourselves stories in order to live.”
— Toni Morrison, The Nobel Lecture In Literature, 1993

hey - been in such profound crisis in a neglectful hospital admission and haven’t been able to update. queer multiply disabled Filipina femme forcibly discharged from hospital two days ago, after ten days in hell with a doctor who pitted me as a hypochondriac through his first impression of me when I landed in the hospital against my will, so sick with PEM after a necessary ED investigation that I couldn’t sit up or walk out, followed by a decline in the hospital that kept me stuck in there without any investigation or care besides forced rehab.
Because of this framing, I was routinely neglected by nurses to the point I was constantly on the verge of fainting while they ignored my buzzers, and my new and acute issues remain uninvestigated for concerns of “further harming me through testing”. I’m currently experiencing big blood pressure drops, sensory loss, rapid muscle loss, my bladder isn’t working normally, struggling to physically move, and more.
There’s a general medicine doctor who works with complex presentations and treated a friend of mine who took interest in my case, but I’ll need to present to the ED of a private hospital to see her and it’s $510 just to enter, and up to $270 for imaging and $150 for bloods. I have been unable to care for myself, need to get seen today and would like to crowdfund it through many and w visibility because my only other options rn are relying on my abusers or another patient who I don’t know well who offered to assist, with much more power than me. any amount would be really helpful, pls donate if white waged and able
Hey, the other patient helped with the entry fee and I received $201.97 (thank you.) which all went to food and essentials, I’m gonna scrap this goal and make a new post

Some of you never realized most disabled people have to pay to be able to walk or move around. Like big money payments. The kind that makes people become poor or homeless.
My name is Nadin. I never imagined I would write something like this. I’ve always been someone who kept her worries quiet, someone who believed that even the hardest days could be endured with patience and faith. But right now, I am reaching out — not because I want to, but because I need to.
I am a wife, a mother, and one of many women in Gaza trying to survive days that feel like they have no end. There was a short time — a brief ceasefire — where we thought things might start to heal. Where the sound of war faded for just long enough to let us breathe. But that moment is gone now, and the fear has returned louder than before.
My days are filled with uncertainty, and my nights with prayer. We have lost so much. Our home was damaged, our sense of safety taken from us. But through all of this, I try to keep going. I try to hold on to what little peace I can create with my hands, my words, and my love.
I am not asking for much. Just a little help to keep our lives from falling further apart. To fix the small things — a cracked wall, a leaking roof, the pieces of daily life that help us hold on to dignity.
This campaign isn’t just about survival. It’s about holding on to what makes us human in a place that keeps trying to take that away. It’s about showing my daughter — even though I won’t mention her name here — that the world didn’t forget us.
If you’ve ever felt powerless in the face of suffering, please know that even the smallest gesture can carry great meaning. A kind word. A shared post. A quiet donation. These things remind us that we’re not alone.
My name is Nadin I’m a mother, a wife, and just one of many women in Gaza who are trying to hold on — to hope, to our families, to any piece
I am still here. Still holding on. Still believing that people out there — people like you — still care.
Please, if you feel moved, consider supporting or sharing this campaign.
Hello, my name is Nadin I’m from Gaza. I’m a graphic design graduate. I’m a wife. And now — I’m a mother.
I finished my design studies just before the war began.
I had dreams of starting a small design studio, of making art that told stories. I used to think about colors, fonts, sketches. I used to think about the future.
Then the war came.
And the future became something we tried to hold onto, moment by moment.
On October 22, 2023, I was pregnant when a missile destroyed my husband’s family home.
25 members of our family were killed — his mother, his siblings, his nieces and nephews, children. Entire branches of a family tree gone in seconds.
We were displaced twice after that.
Everything we had disappeared — home, safety, routine, rest.
A few weeks later, I gave birth to our daughter.
There was no crib. No stillness. No celebration.
But she came into the world quietly and beautifully.
And in her eyes, I saw something I hadn’t felt in weeks:
life that still wanted to grow.
Now, I spend my days holding her and trying to build a world around her that doesn’t shake with explosions.
We don’t know what comes next.
There is no clear path. We are walking toward the unknown, step by step — with our daughter in our arms and hope as our guide.
🧡 How You Can Help
This is why I’m asking for support. Not for comfort — but for survival.
To help care for one baby girl who entered the world after everything else collapsed.
My name is Nadin, and I’m a mother from Gaza.
If you can spare anything, it will help us:
Cover basic needs, so we can breathe and heal
Support a path toward even the smallest stability in a place that has none
My husband manages the donations securely through a U.S.-registered Stripe account.
Everything is converted to USDT and exchanged here in Gaza.
The rates are difficult — $100 becomes only 195 shekels (July 2025) — but we use every shekel carefully, with full transparency and documentation.
🎨 Sharing a Piece of Me
I want to share more than my need.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll begin posting some of my graphic designs from before the war.
They are pieces of who I was — and who I still am.
They may not be perfect, but they hold something real:
my story before the silence, and my belief that beauty can still live alongside survival.
If you’ve made it this far, thank you.
If you can give — thank you.
And if you can’t, just sharing this post is a form of support I will never forget.

Bisan says that among all the aid organisations working in North Gaza right now, Ele Elna Elak is one of the most effective, geared towards resolving the water scarcity and making clean water and vegetables available to Gazans.
