dumped my femmes purse out looking for our car keys and it was like a tapestry of their character on the couch cushion
we were matching once but my dracula leaves much to be desired
Hey all! Normally when I post for Mona's community aid initiative, I post about the communities of refugees she is helping. But today I went to Instagram to update you all and saw that she hasn't posted since April, and we hadn't spoken since then either. She hadn't messaged me updates like she normally does. I was very afraid. It turned out she had broken her phone during a displacement, and she hasn't been able to replace it due to the high costs. Mobile phones are a scarce and expensive resource in Ghazzah but they are a lifeline for the families there. And for Mona it is not just a lifeline for her family but also for the refugee community she has dedicated the last few years of her life serving. She cannot connect with her usual network of volunteers or access funds without her phone (she had to contact me through her mother's phone). Despite helping displaced refugees, her and her family are also displaced refugees also living out of a tent, and she cannot currently afford a replacement. Please please please help her get a new one so she can continue doing the life-saving work she has been doing. Chuffed link to support Mona.
Every single dollar counts!!
if youâre a certain level of tall as a trans woman people will start acting like they genuinely believe itâs ok to treat you like transmisogynistic futa porn is real life and youâre the futa
this sounds like an exaggeration but literally i will mention that i'm 10cm taller than someone as a joke about how i can reach a taller shelf at the grocery store or something and the immediate response will almost always be "omg you're tall can you step on me" and i'm being fully serious. i hate it. believe it or not those extra 10cm don't make me want to have sex with every person who is shorter than me and also they don't make me a dom or a top.
has anyone considered that maybe this is sexual harassment? has anyone considered that maybe being taller than you doesn't mean i'm going to act like a futa from porn? has anyone considered that the trans woman might have some dysphoria surrounding height or pressure to be sexually dominant?

"You can't just pick and choose the parts of a romantic relationship that you want"
No, actually I can.
I can do exactly that. If I want to see them multiple times a week with no commitment and no exclusivity I can.
If I want to cuddle and kiss and not be any more intimate than that I can.
If I want to go on fun dates and spend time together and have little adventures but never call them my partner I can.
If I want to do these things with multiple people at the same time I can.
If I want to call it hanging out instead of dating I can.
If I want to keep things private but also post us being silly on my close firends stories I can.
I can do anything I want to as long as all the parties in the relationship are happy and it's not hurting anyone.
Other people cannot define my relationships for me.
Before I was in a qpr I always saw people saying that it's literally just friendship and that the term was stupid and now I'm in one and everyone assumes we're dating so which one is it
QPRs are truly an analogous to SchrĂśdinger's cat when it comes to relationships. They exist simultaneously as something that gets the ridicule and sneers of "So YoU MeAn BeStIeS", yet also as something unacceptable for friends to be and do: when the realization hits that the dynamic pretty much resembles romantic partners, people absolutely do not like what you're doing.
I never used the QPR word, or even tertiary attraction terminology, with my last relationship. That conversation was at best in diapers among English-speaking communities, both of us are ESL, and prevailing asexual discourse also discouraged me from exploring and learning for a very long time. We talked a lot about how we didn't feel anything romantic or sexual for each other, but we couldn't articulate what we were doing either, because it felt distinct from other friendships. What we knew was that we wanted to be together for the rest of our lives, so we just... Started to do that. And then we continued to do that, until certain circumstances happened.
And not labeling that relationship in a particular way didn't stop many people from constantly questioning why were we so affectionate, and committed to each other, when we "were not in a real relationship" and were "just friends". It just wasn't seen as acceptable, it wasn't how "friends" were supposed to behave. That commentary always came accompanied of some mention about internalized or societal homophobia, that we had to be lying when we said we weren't dating, that one or both of us had to be secretly hoping the relationship would eventually evolve into a "real one". Which felt bittersweet, because the lack of homophobia was appreciated, because growing up as a bisexual millennial was an horrendous experience, but ultimately... No one wanted to understand. At some point we decided to let this particular group of (left-leaning) friends believe that we were indeed dating. Our plan was, literally, "let's pretend-date for a while, and then we say we broke up amicably", a situation that ended up lasting for a few years. The very short summary really is that, on the face of the world, we were either super best buddies or boyfriends depending on the audience and what'd be less troublesome.
Some people will argue that the name is cringe, or that it shouldn't have the words "queer" or "platonic", or what have you. If I were to be honest, I myself don't have a particular attachment to the name "queerplatonic", and I use it post-facto because it's an umbrella and an easy way to communicate something in few words. But ultimately, I dare say that the name doesn't matter. That the problem has never been the name. The problem is that naming something makes it real. Changing the name would not make people accept it, because the only acceptable answers for society are "friend" or "lover", "platonic" or "romantic", and not something that's fundamentally both and neither of those things. Because ultimately, what's supposed to be normal is the prioritization of an exclusive, romantic, sexual, long-term relationship (and eventual marriage), and anything that falls outside of that norm will inevitably be scrutinized. And I'm sure that if I said something like "I love being someone's boyfriend without having to be someone's boyfriend", as codename for "I love having the things I like from a partnership without all the things I hate", that'd not be well received outside of specific aspec circles.
I love unaligned love. I love love and affection between nonbinary people that cannot be put into a box like wlw / mlm or even nblw / nblm. I love nonbinary love that isn't tied to dichotomies or adjacent to binary identities. I love when nonbinary people love each other in a way that just is and isn't defined by anything but their affection for each other and their lack of binary association.
Frankly, despite me not being ace or aro myself, this is a very aspec post because it's also very much about love and affection outside of traditional romantic love or sexual relationships. I've very much expanded my own view of and experience with affection, love, and sex due to conversations and relationships with aspec folks and that's very intertwined with the way I understand the way I experience attraction as a nonbinary person.
We have so much to learn from each other with regards to the ways we exist outside of traditional bounds of sex, gender, romance, and intimacy. Being an allo nonbinary person in community with ace and aro folks across the spectrum of asexual and aromantic is genuinely a blessing.
This is leaning more into the aroacespec relationships part but I love atypical relationships. I love close friendships where you can be physically affectionate. I love deep romantic relationships where you donât do the stereotypically romantic things. I love romantic relationships where kissing or physical affection is needed to show love. I love friendships where you can kiss and only be platonic. I love relationships where you canât fit it into any box. I love relationships that arenât âjust friendsâ or âstraightâ or âgayâ or âlesbianâ and that are just happy. I love relationships that arenât platonic or romantic and just are. I love relationships you donât put a label on.
I love relationships that donât look the way weâre conditioned that kind of relationship âhas toâ or âshouldâ look.
Let people show and receive love the way they want in their relationships. And celebrate that difference in intimacy. As long as everyone feels loved, respected, and cared for, I think atypical relationships are wonderful.
Let nonbinary people love other nonbinary people in a nonbinary way. Let nblnb people not have to be gay or lesbian and just be nblnb. Hell! Let one of them be gay and the other be lesbian! Who cares?
Donât put people into a label they didnât agree to. Regardless of how you think they should be.
the strongest bond on earth is that between an autistic girl and connie converse
immediately after an interaction: i have GOT to get more normal oh god i need to get more normal immediately i have to get more normal or they're going to hunt me down they're going to hunt me down and flay me for sport
during an interaction: and why not put a little spin on it? why not add some conversational zest?

holy shit
Polyamory is safe for work. Polyamory is safe for kids. Polyamory is safe for day time tv. Polyamory isnât more sexual than any other relationship and it can be just as romantic, sweet, and healthy.
everyone loves to hate terfs until they realise that it actually entails rejecting bioessentialism entirely and then suddenly youâre âtaking things too seriouslyâ and you âdonât have a sense of humourâ like iâm sorry but saying protect the dolls doesnât make you immune to terfism it has seeped into every corner of mainstream feminism and unless youâre actively searching it out and checking your own biases you will always be at risk of sharing a space with terfs
âOnly women canââ nope. âBut all menââ nah. âThe divine femininity ofââ gonna stop you right there. âEveryone born amaââ if you finish that sentence Iâll kill you. âMen donât experienceââ youâre wrong. âGender isnât real but sex is immââ *loud incorrect buzzer*
It also goes without saying that bioessentialism inherently canât be trans inclusive no matter how hard you try. âAll men including trans menââ probably not. âThis is only a womanâs issueââ is it really? âAfabs onlyââ why? âAll trans men are likeââ what? what are they like? finish the sentence i dare you.

throughout the late 2000s and early 2010s, our generation was inundated with aave. it eclipsed lolcat as the "funny way to talk." ain't nobody got time fo dat turns into dat boi o shit waddup. this is blatantly not an "aracial" or "gen z" way to talk. it IS black english. not to mention the amount of black reaction images!!
WHY, specifically, is it black peoples' facial expressions that are seen as just so comical or exaggerated? analyze the history of this nation's comedy and tell me why you might be predisposed to thinking of black peoples' faces as just, "more emotive" or exaggeratedly funny than a white or nonblack person's
and throughout those years, 00s-10s, many black bloggers -- victims of the mass staff-led purge (under the cover of them being 'russian' while reichblr still exists) -- they DID tell us it was a problem, DID try to educate people who freak out at the insinuation of 'being racist,' DID argue, DID point out the duplicity and the appropriation and the gross equivalence of african american slang with unintelligence, goofiness, etc. and they were ignored, abused, cancelled, chased off, until being eventually mass deleted by our racist transmisogynistic staff.
we didn't do enough, and the generation after us gen z "kids" didn't stop the trend. using the '-ahh' suffix. rizz. no cap. ate. delulu. it's giving. it's serving. crash out. lock in. aura. tea. main character. bruh. slay. real. keep it 100.
all of the following images are or were popular reaction images! what do they all have in common?
it feels like the effort to categorize slang as AAVE and not 'gen z' or 'gen alpha' slang has really petered out. it feels like we stopped talking about digital blackface in an era where the administration is posting ai-generated videos of black women who speak and act like exaggerated stereotypes and it frustrates me because we all have a responsibility to understand our generation's role in normalizing this type of racist shit for kids today. this needs to be addressed!
It's fun being queer and weird and unconventional until you remember you live in a society
