"Manifest and Replicate, The Black Paradeâs Hell." Or âAn eye for an eye makes the world BL/INDâ
Disclaimer: Article is written with an attempt to sniff out the story arc that has been presented thus far and present an alternative or companion to the time loop theory, via clues and narrative analysis. I am not claiming the Draag Takeover is definitive, but I encourage you to investigate on your own!
The Black Parade as we know it is dead- kidnapped, drained of their very selves, and replaced with Draagâs perfect bots. A melding of human flesh and machine into a perfect rock and roll propaganda machine. After two previous failed attempts at controlling the population as Better Living Industries and B.T. Global, Draag is finding success with their take over via The Black Parade tour- but could there be a solution to this all, a way out?
Better Living Industries and B.T Global
After defeating the Killjoys in Sing and successfully keeping them from being resurrected by their friends and the Phoenix Witch, BLI grew overly confident and continued to rule over Battery City until The Girl managed to destroy it and free the cities lost souls, with help from Val Velocity, Cheri Cola, Blue, and a host of other characters. Despite being able to get its hands on Mad Gear and Missile Kid, Better BLI found itself defeated.
So, they tried again. Their second attempt resulted in the analogue wars, which they won through manipulation of Mom and Dad, sentient super computers that helped form gangs for the analogue wars, used by Dennis and The Books on Tape to start B.T. Global. Through B.T. Global, the gangs that had once fought against the static trying to invade their lives now attempted to sanitize their reality with a more pleasant âtruthâ. They didnât stop at censorship, B.T. Globalâs goal was to completely erase all pain. Divisive music, any traumas experienced, they even erased the civil rights movement. The company flooded shelves with bland, under stimulating low cost foods laced with Sterellax, repetitive game show programming testing peopleâs limits of shame, and wanted to focus on Future technology!
The bold move activated Mike Milligram (a party poison doppelgänger) and this timelineâs killjoys- Animax, Kara (formerly Kyle 100%), Red (Sans Blue, who had perished in the final days of the analog wars), and joined by a young boy with a lot of pent up rage, Jamie/Monster. They join up together, lose a life or two, regain themselves, and find out that Jamie is Mike and Blueâs son from before she passed (thanks to B.T.âs Em.B.Grow tech). ItâsâŚa lot, yes, but we learn more of the phoenix witchâs abilities over resurrection and memory, more of the use of clothing to manipulate peopleâs will and perception, and we learn that B.T. Global has reanimated Blueâs corpse in an effort to manipulate Mike Milligram with a perfect replica, promising him and Jamie a happy family free of their mistakes.
Thankfully, Mom and Dad help expose B.T. Global to the Killjoys and Mike decides to own up to his mistakes of the past. Letting go of Blue and settling into the life of a grown adult, Mike and The Killjoys are able to defeat B.T. Global, unplug Mom and Dad, lay Blue to rest properly, and even bring The Ramones back. Defeated a second time, BLI/B.T. tried to find another point, a point before the killjoys existed at all. But this time they not only found an alternate timeline, they found an alternate universe. A universe that did not readily have access to the tech needed to detect them, a universe untouched by the analogue wars and the helium wars, a universe that happened to have exact doppelgangers of the Killjoys. Ours.
They studied MCR, literally keeping an eye out for them throughout their career. The All-seeing, big brother-esque eye representing the MOAT (Ministry of advanced technology) is present everywhere through the bandâs history in subtle and not-so-subtle ways. We even find a proto âThe Gentlemanâ in the liner notes of Bullets- pressed by none other than Eyeball records.
And behind MCR they found an army. An Army putting its energy into an exploitable portal.
Magic and Games
Alternate Reality Games and Chaos Magic have two things in common- one has to believe itâs there to be able to interact with it. Youâve got to be willing to âlook crazyâ to see results. Thereâs a subset of chaos practitioners that believe the internet can be a powerful tool to manifest- a belief that the collective desires of a group can help direct the microcosmic forces that are unknowable and unseeable even with the most complete current understanding of quantum mechanics. A meme can be a grand tool to enact your will- and we did exactly that with our collective sharing of memes and posts on our dashes, like collective prayers whispered to an omniscient god in the abyssâŚbut you know what they say about screaming into the abyssâŚ
BLi exploited this and began to deploy their planned attack on October 31st, 2019. After a 6 year hiatus and on Frank Anthony Iero Jrâs 38th birthday, a reunion was announced. It was the quickest conditioning Draag has completed, as we all know that itâs now a meme in itself that MCR fans are always expecting an announcement on October 31st since. They continued to test the waters on December 20th 2019, at the reunion show itself. Devotees who waited overnight were given special blankets by the band, and those of us unable to secure tickets followed along through our dashboards and home pages. On stage that night, a new symbol emerged- the witches wheel.
January 2020, confident in the armyâs ability to show up when called for duty, BLi began its full invasion. An Offering , a ~3 minute video announcing the MK shows that summer playing into the aesthetics that the MCRmy clicked with, was uploaded on January 19th 2020. 4 hooded figures run through the forest, enacting a ritual to summon back the dead MCR. Then the roll out for the EU shows continued, and the US waited patiently. January 28th, 2020, A cryptic video was loaded, removed, then reloaded without sound to the MCR socials. Static crackling through the screen, overlaid with arcane symbols very similar to the wheel weâd seen before. Quickly, fans used their own knowledge and the help of the internet to decode the wheels, spelling out cities.
But while the witches mobilized, we were tricked into playing with magic we didnât understand. Another cryptic video uploaded MCRXX. A young man tapes up his windows and lays out the well known pentagram. We are urged to tune it at 8:53AMPacific on January 29th, 2020.
A Summoning is a 13 minute long epic following the young man from MCRXX, likely the young man who performed the Offering as well. Surrounded by collected reminders of the band and visibly anxious, he prepares himself for his ritual as an eye watches over him from the bulletin board.
He dons his robes, tapes his windows to seal the space, and sets the mood with Ray Toroâs rendition of Romance. He lights the candles on the altar to the dead, before taking to the pentagram with a spirit board in the center. He tries to commune with the dead, but he doesnât appear to be well versed and is surprised when his television springs to life, the static laden with the MCR witches wheel, and the arcane symbols the band had attached to every teaser through January. As the symbol comes in clearly, there is a knock, the spirit board spells out ârunâ, and we see exactly who has been summoned.
A red door marked with a candle sigil appears and thus our protagonist is chased by a trio of Draculoids, the nameless henchmen of BLiâs Scarecrow unit whose masks erase their souls, through every âeraâ. A vampire Bar littered with graffiti For Bullets, A church housing The Demolition Lovers and Helena for Three Cheers, The hospital and empty hospital bed for The Black Parade! Finally, we tumble into the desert from the passenger side of the Trans Am, Danger Days. After almost being taken out by the Trans Am, the young man wanders through a desert littered with croquette mallets, and as he comes face to face with the trio of Dracs another red door appears allowing the young man to escape to safety just as the bomb is dropped and the Dracs are âdustedâ. Slowly it is shown that on the other side of the door is The ForumâŚand we are given a roll out of US tour dates discovered in the witchâs wheels. Those who stuck around after their date was announced would be treated to an after scene- The Desert, a skeleton in Black Parade clothes, and 3 Dracs that have completely disintegrated as the camera looks off to wear the door once stood before panning up to the sky. I believe that we allowed Bli into our world through our naive use of magic and attempts to manipulate the universe.
Covid-19 resulted in the planned invasion needing to take a step back. Knowing they needed to survey the landscape further, MCR20 became the Swarm in 2022. We received a much needed breather, that also allowed our âconditioningâ to be continued. We all waited to see what that nightâs drum head could be, or what Gerardâs chosen outfit of the night would be. Would the other join him? What antics would happen on stage? Hell we still have entire drumheads we donât understand still- what was the giant paragraph? Was the mirror a ritual or an artistic homage to Cabaret? Stage banter featuring things that would come up again like âCome to brazil!â âThank you for the Gentlemanâ and countless outfits that would prove foreshadowing were archived all over the internet during the tour. A new meme of âwanting to watch my showâ would spring from this tour, a concept that would be taken farther in the next step of the invasion.
DRAAG: Learn to Prosper in the Gloom
November 11th, 2024. A social post. âIf you could be anything, what would you be?â
Deep, blue-leaning, bloody maroon letters that spell âMCRâ in a brutalist font on a grey, point filled, skyline filled with grey confetti. It spread quickly, and rumors of what it could mean flew. MCR 5 always is the winner in those races, many deciding this was the at-the-time mythical Paper Kingdoms.
November 12th, 2024, in an email and a blog post, Draag announces itself to the world:
âIt has been seventeen years since The Black Parade was sent to the MOAT. In that time, a great Dictator has risen to power, bringing about âTHE CONCRETE AGEâ; a glorious time of stability and abundance in the history of DRAAG. His Grand Immortal Dictator wishes to celebrate our rich and storied culture, fine foods, and musical entertainments by welcoming you to these great demonstrations of power and resolve. And lending voice and song for the first time in six thousand two hundred and forty six days, their work privilege ceremoniously reinstated, will be His Grand Immortal Dictatorâs National Band... The Black Parade.
Long Live Draagâ
The MCR centered web lit up with further speculation that was not curbed by a stunning tour announcement video on the same day. While giving the fans dates for what would become the first phase of their invasion, Draag introduced not only the MCRmy to their world with thunderous applause, but the language of Keposhka.
Inspired by eastern block cyrillic, Keposhka would not be given to us in one go. We would be slowly fed pieces over the course of the tour build up, and a cipher would be completed after the first showâs merch tags featured a keposhka note.
November 13th, 2024, âGood Boy.â
A Doberman, same as the dog featured in the day beforeâs tour announcement. Well conditioned militia dogs in a governmentâs hands.
November 14th, 2024, âOperaâ
4 military leaders, the twins, a Doberman at a familiar stern womanâs feet, a smug opera singer. Many elements we would see again or had before November 15th, 2024, tickets go on sale and despite prices, quickly sell.
April 2025, âFeastâ
The Twins flank the obedient doberman who sits at a table laid with delights, but is fed by hand as the stern woman in black sits by. Stage production is set, more tickets go on sale.
May 2025, âLa TransmisiĂłn de la Ciudad de Mexicoâ
Having confirmed the fans will answer their call even when dropping their mask, Draagâs national news program and its newscaster are introduced. In the Minute long video, Draag confirms that The Black Paradeâs demise in Mexico was greatly exaggerated and confirms that The Black Parade will be playing in Mexico in 2026. Tickets sell quickly. Many fans call attention to this being the 2nd time MCR had used a faux newscaster for their marketing.
June 2025, LATAM is announced.
While many fans did not think these were LLTBP branded, eagle eyed fans noticed the brutalist architecture that carried through the theming. As the dates and location flash on screen, static buzzes through.
July 6th 2025, just days before the US leg began, the SEA tour was announced (would later be postponed) mirroring this approach and featuring even more obvious static.
July 9th, 2025
A frame from one of draagâs surveillance cameras is posted to the MCR socials. Grainy grey scale, the photo is hard to make out but it features 3 lights shining down against Draagâs city buildings. You can faintly make out silhouettes in the window, and in the corner the time is clearly labeled 07:11:25:00. The caption, a poem or lyrics âA dagger, a dagger, Please fetch me a daggerâ. All of this a distraction that we accept, It doesnât matter that we know the black parade âdiedâ. Draag has told us they are alive and well, and we accept it.
And on July 11th, 2025, America is re-introduced to The Black Parade, courtesy of Draagâs Ministry of Complimentary Reconditioning. Fresh-faced, ready to entertain, decked out in new uniforms that were highlighted with Keposhka red accents and new medals of their accomplishments. The July 9th teaser? The showâs set, brutal grey architecture of a sprawling city, familiar to those paying attention to both SWARM and Killjoys comics.
The show would prove a true rock opera, showcasing not only The Black Parade band but many of the faces we had met through the marketing lead up. We were introduced to the Draag National Anthem And âThe Dagger Songâ, lyrics to an extended bridge to Mama that were teased with the playâs backdrop on July 9th, 2025. Each night we were treated to a violent rendition of The Black Parade album that played out in front of a missile launch, before MCR themselves would take the stage for a second set- On âB-stageâ where the execution took place each night, or in front of walls of fantastic, imposing static. Through the tour, fans would notice ties to the past timelines as pre-show posters and in-universe props mirrored similar from the Danger Days universe.
Each night we would tune in and piece together every little bit, even tuning into the length of static between songs or the faint sound of an engine roar mixed in here and there. As we began to branch off with our own theories and ideas, one thing was certain- The Black Paradeâs resolve to do Draagâs will was running out.
The Black Parade, having completed their round of conditioning and proving themselves trustworthy are rewarded- Shiny new uniforms and the permission to perform for legions of fans. But in that same breath are forced to perform the very same album every night for The Grand Immortal Dictator and use that album as a call to arms for the army of Draag. Every night, reading the men, women, and children of America ads for Skolanko that likely laces the food of Draag, to dance in front of state sanctioned television programs, or read a resume aloud for the conveniently resizable dictator to the Hollywood elites. They are even trotted out for political lip service in their own hometown, with pre-show music alluding to promises to save the youth with music (76 trombones). They are forced to lead senseless, useless mock trials for faceless criminals whose crimes are vague while we gleefully participate before launching into song and forgetting what just happened.
Every night they dance and sing at Draagâs command, distracting the fans who trust them and feeding them to the machine that is Draag. They are punished for each mistake and each rebellion, be it missing the cue for Woody Woodpecker in Dead! Or refusing outright to read any more ads. And each night Gerard, Mikey, Frank, and Ray continue to push against their captors. Fighting back, pleading, even attempting to beg for help via Keposhka Kandi tossed into the crowd as they feign compliance. The fans, catching on to Draagâs manipulations, encourage them to continue fighting back, even organizing their own Keposhka signs that read âResistâ for some shows. In Boston, the boys completely let loose- whispering in secret, spitting at their time cards (another element introduced to try and give the boys structure as they go off script), and Mikey directly standing up for Gerard. During the Big Sky intro of Sleep, Gerard discovers the truth via the Gemini process manual that, likely, spells out Draagâs plan.
Draag, unwilling to lose, execute their major play in Tampa.
In LATAM 2026, we witnessed a âprequelâ story that showed us what happened behind the scenes of our new reality. The death in Mexico was a cover up as the band was whisked away and drained of their very essence. Gerardâs thick exaggerated New Jersey accent begins to fade through the LATAM tour as his confusion and compliance becomes more apparent. P.H.A.N.T.O.M. (Pigs Have Apples Not Tomatoes On Mars) protocol takes effect as they are monitored by the Ministry Of Advanced Technology each night after being given their medication.
When they complete their first round, they are given their rewards- Shiny new uniforms and the promise to play. But I believe that while they were being conditioned into compliance, in reality their minds backed up into the Killjoy animated bot bodies- who we actually watched each night during the LLTBP 2025 US leg. Bodies they recovered during the failed siege in Sing in their original universe. What makes me think they are bots and not clones? They have done it before. Not just with Maria/Blue, but likely countless other citizens of Battery City. In the Dead satellites bonus comic, a mother is replaced by a perfect droid version of herself when she fails to meet BLiâs standards for child rearing.
Once TBP knows the truth of the multiversal switch and Draagâs plans to dominate the current universe, Draag executes the originals as a warning. So, TBP continue on as they are commanded. They are replaceable, they can make more of them, and they WILL. And why? Because they need us. They need our souls to fuel Draag and their own selfish needs, just like BLI needed souls to power Battery City. To power themselves, to keep their own bodies and their own selves preserved.
They want to control us and keep us compliant so that we will keep buying what they produce. Complete sanitation hasnât worked before, but if we can get comfortable with the brain washing being sandwiched between hyper violence and rock music, where else can they apply it? They need the MCRmy to stay loyal, and theyâll keep giving us The Black Parade while they actively bomb out our cities right in front of our very eyes while they force us to give âThree Cheers for Tyrannyâ. Remember people, Plutonium is expensive.
The solution? Rebellion, and somewhere out there The Black Paradeâs original bodies have been dumped. The Killjoys are active again, a phoenix witch is in their midst and they are being hunted.
Draagâs continues to bleed into our reality more each day, with The Gentlemanâs appearance at Ghoulâs Day Out and special Better Living Industries âRock Musicâ editions of Danger Days popping up causing a stir.
The censoring and their presence is subtle, but all signs point to invasion if you know where to look. Just look around you, did you even notice them changing old designs to fit a friendlier, yet still edgy aesthetic? What about the sudden rebrand of Ray Toroâs Jetstar to Ray Gun Jones? Some will claim AI mistakes, but what if Draagâs future tech is running amok?
Dig in and start sifting, Killjoys, but remember- Donât let the static get yaâ.
