Cold beer and greasy hands

Up all night drinking, 4am last drink. Barely able to lay yourself down in bed, but you somehow manage. Lights out, the sleep of the drunk. Then you waken in the early morning, light peaking through the blinds, the sound of your dog licking his but. Stumbling out of bed with no real direction, just trying to stay on your feet. Thoughts of regret, hopes of things you didn't do, piecing together the night as you sit on the toilet trying to release the poison from your body. You make your way to the fridge, with the thoughts of never going through that again. Door opens, as you stare at the water, "life." You slowly utter as you reach for the bottle. Uncaps the bottle and lips make contact with the wet plastic as the cap takes its final bounces on the floor. Water flowing into thy mouth and all you think is "what a bliss this is." After the first mouthful, you feel the water flowing down your throat, ever so smooth, splashing into your stomach. Then there it is! Eyes Focus Sharply into the ceiling, but you stair further into the unknown when you Feel The Purity of Water Flowing within your Veins! Able to pinpoint exactly where hydration is happing, where it is going next. Then it's done, "YES," You rejoice aloud "THIS IS WHAT I LIVED FOR!"
