This may just be late night thoughts talking but I miss the days where I didn't feel like I had to know the plots of things as soon as they came out
The days where I could go read a book or play a game and talk to people about what was going on in them
I remember a conversation with a former coworker where I was starting to get into a popular dnd podcast that he was already familiar with... and I got the distinct impression that my ideas and interpretations of the plot as far as I'd listened were wrong.
I stopped listening to that podcast shortly after and never picked it back up, nor have I listened to any other dnd podcast in the interim
I hated that feeling and despite the fact that that conversation was ~7 years ago I clearly still think about it.
But if I get into things that no one's heard of I won't be able to talk to anyone about it.
And the indecision prevents me from getting into anything, old or new.
