Here are the grandparents!! (Thank you for helping me with the names I love them so much!)

Finchblaze is Tweetsong’s mother. She is an odd individual who sometimes speaks in non-sequiters. She doesn’t really mind if a thought she has doesn’t pertain to the conversation at hand, she’ll always say it. Her favorite activity is wandering, and she has a tendency to disappear from camp for what can be long stretches of time. That’s how Tweetsong came about, actually. One day after being gone for a while, she showed back up and was like “guess who has a son now 😀✨!!” She doesn’t say anything about the father, ever. I don’t think this is for any particular reason other than she thinks it’s funny for this to be the ONE topic she doesn’t speak about.

Finchblaze unfortunately didn’t think it was necessary to give up her adventurous tendencies while Tweetkit was in the nursery. I don’t know if neglectful has the right connection for her behavior, but she did leave him alone somewhat often. This is where his quiet behavior comes from, I think. Not to worry, though, as there was another quiet kitten in the nursery whose mother was willing to look after him while his mother was out (Crawlstripe’s mom!)

Frostfoot and Thornwhisker are Crawlstripe’s parents. They’re a very boomer couple 💔 Frostfoot is the type of mom who posts unfunny memes on Facebook and CAPITALIZES WORDS very RANDOMLY and WITHOUT reason. She feels like she always has to know everything, and gets very annoyed when people won’t tell her details of what’s going on. She also tends to give terrible advice. Half the time she thinks it’s the right thing to do, the other half she KNOWS the advice is bad- but she likes drama, so she gives it anyway. I think the first thing she said to her daughter after Tweetsong and Warblerperch’s passing was a “well, I told you not to be so codependent!” Rather than an “I’m sorry for your loss” 😭 Thornwhisker is a very typical grumpy grandpa. The type of guy to have Home Alone style traps set up in front of his house so the kids will stay off his lawn. He walks uphill both ways to and from the dawn patrol. He’d make up war stories even if they’re entirely false. I think Cuckoopaw gets some of his dramatic personality from Crawlstripe’s parents, even if they don’t talk all that often.

Little note I didn’t know where to fit in- I think Tweetsong took after his mom a bit in the way he speaks, as in, he will occasionally say random shit- but I think it’s more along the lines of comically foreshadowing future events
