My favorite thing about transformers that you don’t find in a lot of other ‘aliens at war’ stories is that,, cybertronians are so weirdly difficult to kill and they live so fucking long that you get these characters on opposite sides of the war who are on a fucking first name basis.

Imagine being in a war and you just kept running into the same fucking guys. Like “ ah shit I’ve got to deal with THIS fucker again”

No fucking wonder they are so dramatic when they fight! I would be so fucking done if I had to fight some fucking GUY that’s been fucking up my shit for 200,000 years. And like, Intimately knowing someone from the other side of a war happens a decent amount in other media but these fuckers hate each other in weirdly specific fucking ways. And it happens so OFTEN !! It’s just fun to hear “oh no STARSCREAM 🙄 I fucking hate that guy 😡” over “oh no it’s a decepticon!”

So, guess who made fanart of their own story? Me. Now, I just got to finish writing it. Anyway- Here’s a scene for a future chapter. Swerve cradling his sweet new bundled. Veer...He already loves her, but the overwhelming sense of guilt is crushing down on him. She so fragile...and sick. Sick, because he didn’t know this entire time. Sick, because he didn’t take of his frame-because he wasn’t well himself.

Mentally, at the time, he was broken. He was tired of it all. The stress of work, the knowledge that others bots were laughing at him, and most of all the constant hurt that kept him up at night. All from a couple of words...She was sick.

Okay but for anyone who legit wants to know how to calculate it correctly:

The elbow joint on average rests a couple inches higher than the navel, so if you measure how long the distance is from the middle of the shoulder to that point then you have the length of the upper and fore arms!

So if anyone’s wondering about legs too, the simplest rule of thumb is that the length from the top of the leg to the knee is equal to the distance between the top of the leg and the bottom of the pectorals:

And I wanna stress that when i say “top of the leg” i’m not talking about the crotch (please don’t flag me tumblr it’s an anatomical term) i’m talking about the point where the femur connects to the pelvis, which is higher up on the hips:

So yeah if you use that measurement when using this technique you should get fairly realistically proportioned legs:

But remember! messing with proportions is an important and fun part of character design! Know the rules first so you can then break them however you please!
