Also, to be obnoxious for a moment:
Adam has been playing up his assholery in his accounts.
Adam and Amy have been playing up their rivalry/animosity in their accounts. Despite this, hints of how close they are and how much they trust each other have peeked through.
Adam left out the phone call he made to Amy about the heart as a part of this strategy.
All of this has been done because he wants to be the only one who goes down for this. He's trying to take on all of the responsibility and protect Amy.
And as for the Boston Incident / the episode itself:
Donahue and Agnus Dei did crash the ignition party, specifically because Amy and so many VIPs were there, and the cult caused everything to go awry violently.
We did lose Mel this episode.
Adam did teleport Andie away to safety.
Amy helped Adam with the spell that teleported Boston to the moon. He wouldn't have been able to do it without her, and that's what they've been hiding this entire time.
Adam did fuck up the spell vocabulary at a crucial moment, and the universe in turn fucked them over.
Skinner did clock that their accounts about all of this didn't add up, and called Adam on it.
I'd like to say I'm happy about being right, but man. Satisfying as it is, it also does suck. But hey, now I have no idea what happens in the last episode. My best guesses?
Skinner will confront Amy on what she's left out.
We'll find out if Eckerberg died or not. By all rights, he should be dead. But I can see him having a helicopter nearby to escape, just in case something went wrong with Vesper. So while he wouldn't have been able to save anyone anyway, him running would tell us something about his character. We would learn that when all of the chips are done, he'll choose to save his own skin, rather than risk it for other people.
Most of what I got wrong with my speculation came down to assuming the Boston Incident would cover two episodes, and there would be more time for rising action than there was. So there are a lot of specifics I didn't get right, but the beats? I had those. And I think that tells us something about the quality of the writing of this show, that all of the puzzle pieces were there for us to put together, like in any good mystery story. And now we're facing the unknown, and I am so, so excited to have no idea what's coming next!
Edit: Oh fuck, you know what I just realized? As long as the Ring of the Dead exists, we could see Mel again. We'll probably see her in flashbacks, but we might also get a chance to talk with her ghost.
