Marta is leaving the office early to meet with doña Clara to go to some exposition. She asks Fina if she would like to go and Fina says no. Doña Clara is a good woman, it’s not her fault, Marta says. Nevertheless, Fina refuses. She tells Marta about the latest technique she’s been trying out and the way she talks make Marta once again praise her artistry. She says Bianca’s presence made her worry Fina would yearn for that life again. Fina brings up all of the good things about Argentina again—the crowds she mixed with, the freedoms, the artistic growth—and then says that the only problem was that Marta was thousands of kilometers away. She also says that this has served to show her that Marta, and working close to her, are what she wants. Marta says she had been worried that with Bianca around, Fina might have had doubts about going back but Bianca’s going back now… Fina laughs and mentions how wrong she was about Marta when she was younger and she’d see her walking around, thinking how sure of herself she was. A facade, says Marta. This is better, Fina replies. You’re showing me your vulnerabilities, which makes me feel closer to you. They flirt, heavily. I’m surprised they don’t jump each others bones right there on the desk. Ladies, get it together. (Or don’t.) Fina invited Marta to dinner at her apartment and Marta says why don’t I skip the thing with doña Clara and we go and make it together. We can skip the wine because I get drunk on you. Fina calls her cursi and Marta agrees but says she can also be vulgar when she puts her mind to it. 🔥🔥🔥
