Happy to partner with Florida Keys Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center to get two American White Pelicans released. Key West Wildlife Center rescued and treated the smaller female, and the large male was transferred from Tavernier to our center after treatment at their facility. Both were rescued weak, underweight, and unable to stand. They will be returned to the wild together! "Keep them Flying!"

Around the Wild Bird Aviary today: The American White Pelican rescued down on Shark Key is getting flight training in our aviary preparing for release. The Great White Heron rescued down at charterboat row has improved enough to move from the clinic to the aviary. www.keywestwildlifecenter.org
The young Northern Cardinal rescued down with facial injuries and abrasions on Sugarloaf Key has improved and the wounds are almost fully healed. The patient continues to work towards an eventual return to the wild after rehabilitation is complete in our clinic. www.keywestwildlifecenter.org
This Double-crested Cormorant was rescued down this morning at Big Pine Fishing Lodge. The Cormorant is weak, dehydrated, has poor feather condition and a foot injury. The patient has begun rehabilitation in our clinic by receiving fluids. www.keywestwildlifecenter.org
Thanks to the Captain and crew of Reefrunner II for making the call about this Great White Heron down weak and underweight at Charterboat Row. This Clapper Rail was rescued down 6/26 after a vehicle strike on Sugarloaf Key. The Rail had a left leg fracture that was set in our clinic and continues to heal. Prognosis is good for full recovery and a return to the wild. www.keywestwildlifecenter.org
