🌹 Who fell harder & who fell first?

Soo I am a firm believer in the trope of “A fell first slowly and painfully unrequited, while B fell second like smashing through a brick wall with blood everywhere”

And yeah…Yarri is B and Tarmik is A LOL 

Tarmik began crushing on her when they met at 13 & 14, and that crush persisted throughout Yarri’s waterbending training in his homeland (the northern water tribe)

Eventuallyyyy by the time they reunited at the start of the story and began to be friends again he realized he had unfortunately completely fallen in love with the avatar (such a tragic fate if you believe she’s way to good to like you back)

Yarri slowly fell for him without realizing it through the course of the story, and realizes it isn’t some simple crush and she’s very far gone during the the aftermath of the chapter “The North Pole: II” which was when she almost dies….

🫂 What’s their favorite way to hold each other when words aren’t enough?

Ooh I hadn’t thought about this alot before, I mean of course they’re a very affectionate couple (and even before they got together) but I think I have it decided!

Yarri loves to run her fingers through his hair, it’s very soft and fluffy and she’s found it calms him when he’s worried or stressed (usually about her own wellbeing lol) this particularly happens while hugging and cuddling 

Tarmiks favorite is definitely holding hands, whether it be right in front of the rest of their friends or while they’re alone at home he likes to run his fingers over her scars and callouses that cover her hands and remind her how much he cares for her (this completely flusters Yarri at first but she’s grows more used to it over time haha)

🔥 What’s the pettiest thing they’ve ever argued about?

These two don’t argue a lot, but when they do it’s either a horrible life or death thing or the stupidest debate ever

Probably the funniness example I can think of that Ive made up would be in my modern au when they argue about……who to invite to to their best friend Zairse’s surprise party, which turns into a very heated debate about whether or not Zairse likes chocolate or red velvet cake better (and if red velvet even counts as a cake flavor)

Eventually Gina barrels in and plays the peacemaker role

Toph at first laughs at how corny it sounds, but latches onto that song and listens to it enough that she has it memorized 

Sokka likes to sing it together and calls it “their song” and all the goofy corny things, then is shocked to find toph mumbling along to the lyrics perfectly 

☕ Who’s the morning person & how do they lure the night owl out of bed?

Sooo here comes another hc of mine, I think while the lived with her parents (modern au or not) toph would wake up a sunrise, her parents in modern au would totally enforce WiFi and screen time restrictions to prevent her from staying up late (im totally self projecting)

I think this one could go either way 

But….i see an already up and at em toph whose done a full workout before 8 am trying to get sokka to just sit up in bed

💫 Ten years from now, what random Tuesday are they spending together?

Ooooh this got my thinking 

I’ll place the ages at 10 years from the new aang movies timeline (idk if I consider that the “now”)

Making them in their 30s, which in canon their chief of police and councilman careers would’ve begun :)
