ZUTARA WEEK LATE DAY 5: LEGACY!
FINALLY, I’VE FINISHED THEM! HERE THEY ARE: TEAM STEAM! THE ZUTARA’S MOST BEAUTIFUL HEADACHES! 😂🔥
Lu Ten II, the firstborn, 22 years old. He was born just under a year after the end of the Hundred Year War. He is a responsible and seemingly calm young man, although he inherited Zuko’s temper, so he is prone to small bursts of anger—but you really have to push him to the point of being furious to see them. He is a waterbender. Even though he was destined to sit on the throne of the Fire Nation, he personally gave up the title to travel the world as an Ambassador for both of his homelands.
Kya II, the secondborn, is 19 years old. Daddy’s princess, she practically grew up in Zuko’s arms, and both she and Lu Ten often accompanied him during meetings. Kya in particular, because their third child came along veryyyy soon, so Katara often needed to rest. She has always been a cheerful and sociable girl with everyone, with a strong inclination toward politics—and, in fact, she will be the one to inherit the title of Fire Lord.
Hikari, 18 years old, the thirdborn. Katara did not have an easy pregnancy with him. But his birth still brought a whirlwind of pure chaos and fun, at least until the tragedy. Until he was five, Hikari was a child who screamed and ran everywhere and seemed to have inherited Uncle Sokka’s talent for getting into trouble. When Tagah attacks Republic City, everything changes. Because of a powerful explosion near their hiding place, Hikari suffers permanent hearing damage, losing 70% of his hearing. But this will never be a reason for Zuko and Katara to treat him as inferior or fragile. Hikari will prove himself to be a strong boy who is still full of life. And, at his parents’ request, everyone at the palace, as well as all of his uncles and aunts, will have to learn sign language to communicate with him. He will become the youngest general the Fire Nation has ever seen and will be personally trained by Toph and Zuko throughout his adolescence. Firebender.
Izumi, 13 years old, Koda’s twin, is Daddy’s other princess—perhaps even more so than Kya. Though, in reality, she has an incredibly strong bond with her mother. Izumi, however, will only want Zuko around and will often reject the presence of her uncles and aunts, with the sole exception of “Grandpa Iroh.” She is a polite, observant, and compassionate girl. She will study to become a great healer in the future, just like her mother.
Koda, the fifth and youngest, Izumi’s twin, 13 years old. He is literally Katara 2.0. His personality and physical appearance come entirely from her, except for his eyes. He has his father’s eyes. He is a waterbender and spends most of his time at the Southern Water Tribe. He loves spending his days with Grandpa Hakoda, especially fishing or hunting. Zuko and Katara know that their little “wolf pup” will undoubtedly take Hakoda’s place as Chief of the Southern Water Tribe.
So, these are the Steambabies, briefly described.
For Hikari, I’m working on a 5- or 6-chapter fanfic to tell the story of what happened in Republic City.
