Hunter’s mother is an older character of mine named Zia who fell in love with Dante when he saved her from demons. She gave birth to Hunter believing that Dante was the father and Hunter grew up believing the same. But the twist is that Dante isn’t really Hunter’s father. His biological father is Mundus.
Hunter’s conception was similar to the conception of Jesus Christ. A demon in the form of Dante had planted the “Seed of Mundus” into Zia. But Hunter doesn’t learn this truth until he turns 18.
Dante has always been Hunter’s role model and dreams of being a devil hunter himself. When he was 16, he thought of dyeing his hair completely white to look like Dante’s, but thought he’d look silly so he decided dye a small portion of his hair white.
When he was 8, a demon attacked his mother’s house because it was trying to retrieve Hunter and bring him back to the Underworld. Much like Eva, Zia pretty much sacrificed herself to protect her child. Since then, Hunter has been living with his uncle and his mother’s twin brother Ji Hoon who’s been like a second father to Hunter.
He had learned about the existence of his long lost uncle Vergil from Dante when he was little and hearing those stories had inspired him to wield a katana. He mostly learned sword fighting from watching samurai films but he also had private tutor named Bai Mao.
His first mission with his dad was in Fortuna where he meets his cousin Nero for the first time. Since their first meeting, Hunter finds joy out of annoying Nero.
Hunter isn’t gay but he has friends who are gay for him
