I apologise for being unintentionally dismissive, there is a sentence that I am re-writing: Moody emotional brain: Some people are born with holes in their hands. No matter how much money you place on them, they will never have any, for they don’t think about the future Rational brain: Some people act like if they had holes in their hands. No matter how much money you placed on them, they would mostly run out of money Years ago, I heard with interest how the man behind skintdad’s website turned his situation around. He was suddenly fed up of surviving, he felt he let his family down & worked on budgeting better "still a week away from pay day, all you have left is £6.20 to your name. In the cupboard there is only enough food to feed your family for 3 days, 1 year old baby only has 4 nappies left https://skintdad.co.uk/surviving-on-the-breadline/ -- Movies like #MaryPoppins can be charming, yet damaging for educational purposes. The bank calls the mortgage in, what do they do? Fantasise about some miracle #Disney could consider starring her tough mum, who said to her from an early age “when you are 18, you will no longer be my responsibility” “para sacarte tu amor propio” she would say, which meant for her to look for strength inside to want to survive without her help. And it worked, “nobody will save me if things go wrong” was always in her mind. She never asked for a penny. If she wanted something, she would work towards it — “She inherited her house, she never had to work for it”. “This kind of person tends to grow with a sense of self entitlement”, she said. Suddenly it became too clear. Some people feels self entitled to everything, I want a refund, for a non refundable purchase. “It’s not fair”, they would say often. They would put their needs and wants first, without taking into consideration the consequences that would entail for the others. Others didn’t feel entitled to anything, due to low self esteem.
