to be fair... imagine having your 1st day on the job, going through multiple close calls with death, watching your coworkers die, fighting mutant leeches, zombies, a bunch of gigantic atrocities and being forced to team up with a mass murderer on the run, only to realize he's an innocent doomed by the narrative (and worst of all: he's hot).
...sounds like a rough work day if you ask me!

When Karen had Frank at gunpoint and he put his hands on his head, it struck me how easily he was willing to become vulnerable to appease her. I'm sure he could have charged at her, knocked the gun from her hands, and forced her to listen, but he chose to submit and make himself vulnerable and somewhat defenseless in order to reach her and get her to believe him.
That's a level of vulnerability that Frank doesn't gift to many people.

Karen suppresses her feelings for Frank, but I also wonder if she suppresses Frank's feelings for her?
When Matt confirmed that he had heard Frank's heartbeat when he saw Karen, her immediate reaction was to blame it on adrenaline, rather than any love towards her. And it makes sense, considering last time she saw Frank he said he didn't want to love someone else, meaning he didn't want to love her. Since he stayed away from her for the next eight years that would probably solidify in her mind the fact that he doesn't love her or that he doesn't want to.
Even if Frank does confess his feelings for Karen, I have a strong sense he's going to have to prove it to her again and again before she actually believes it.

Omg, I just realised that Daredevil Season 3 sets up its protagonists to represent the 7 capital sins because of course it does.
Maggie Grace - Lust (which leads her to becoming a mother)
Matt Murdock - Wrath (obv.)
Ben Poindexter - Envy ("Think of me as the new James Wesley." Or think of how he reacted to another kid being able to play his sports position)
Foggy Nelson - Sloth (think "inaction"; represented by how he accepts that Matt‘s "gone", or how he’s like "The offense? WITH FISK?!?!“, then by trying to convince Matt that he needs to trust the system (which obv. doesn‘t work))
Wilson Fisk - Gluttony (Vanessa: "He does like to put beautiful things on display")
Ray Nadeem - Greed ("Because I didn‘t want my son to see me as just an average federal employee. I messed up.")
Karen Page - Pride (thinking only she can save her family‘s restaurant which leads to her tragedy)
Now, all of them display several traits of these sins throughout the season of course and by the end they all learn to push back on these impulses. Matt holds himself back from killing Fisk, Karen learns to trust other people too (Maggie Grace, Father Lantom at first, then she relies on Ellison and so on), Foggy takes action against Fisk, Ray confesses to his own greed and does the ultimate to save his family, Maggie Grace takes care of her son to atone, Dex stops defining himself by who he isn‘t and becomes Bullseye, Fisk gives up everything he built to save Vanessa.
Or as Karen (my beloved) says: "You hurt people. It doesn‘t have to define you."

I realize I‘m a *little* late to the party but I need someone to talk to about Season 3 of Daredevil and that Karen episode and how Matt is such an ass towards her for having to abandon his plans for Fisk to come save her while Frank gladly, gratefully puts everything else on hold whenever he smells trouble coming her way every single time, because it means he gets to see her and can go “good to see you, Karen” with those puppy eyes. And how Matt, who can see through lies just by his heightened senses, managed to ignore such integral parts of her personality for years on end, while Frank actually DID see her, and everything she’d been through and carried with her, the freaking second she stepped foot in his hospital room back in Season 2 and (literally and figuratively) was like “Her.”
JFC.
