fandom is a lot more fun when your goal isn’t to be “that big, popular account” within the fandom but just to have fun and talk about what brings you comfort and happiness by the way

it is true to a certain degree that fandoms form cliques but i disagree that there's a singular major united friend group to every fandom that controls everything in it. there are mutuals of my mutuals that i would hit with a car.

i genuinely don't think there's much, if anything, hotter than someone clearly having a blast doing something they're really good at. doesn't really matter what it is. the combo of competence and joy is absolutely lethal to me
