I haven’t seen this comparison made yet—we talk about Ryland walking toward himself on the beach as a type of foreshadowing—BUT LOOK the figure Rocky makes of Grace in the beginning of the movie is the EXACT POSE Grace makes when he comes back to save Rocky in the end and is banging on the glass!!!!

Finally, to culminate this passage, in big swaths of color and against a backdrop of the nighttime Parisian skyline, Mia and Sebastian DANCE... This is the last time we’ll ever see them dance, and they seem to recognize that, so graceful and poised are their movements... Remember -- this is a romance more perfect than a real romance could ever be...
