If I was the one that could shape this world
Every person would be granted the ability to be told
To tell a story we all see through
That will not be ended by people like you
We’ve all been given life
What is the meaning of this sacrifice?
Who obtained this power of the immoral law?
Dehumanizing a human body; a blatant flaw
We see in the papers the death toll rises
While the people and react with no surprises
We return to our minds for a reason that follows
But it seems our emotions have been condemned to the hollow
Honor those who give, take those who take?
Which side is the reality and defines mistake?
Absolute happiness is what we are after
But not everyone will live happily ever after
A harsh truth instills as the everyday norm
Even in moments when we allow our children to be born
We live to see, but we seem to forget
Life is not to be filled with the sense of regret
At the end of it all we are all the same
So, why do we speak each other’s names in vain?
Have we done so wrong that we are so deserving?
For this blade to enter and never stop turning?
I beg this generation to show us hope
We need a new way to live and cope
You sit there and read this; it makes no sense
This is because you have never seen such consequence
Consequence measures in more than a legal loss
But the hole that’s imbedded into each of our hearts
If we live to love, why do we deceive?
The many people that allow us to breathe?
Ghosts stay to haunt us and show us a time
That was once had before us but we cannot rewind
People claim to have power over each other
But in the end we’re all fucking dead together.
