To expensive as shir dolls like Smart Dolls and Amarican girl Dolls aksnskskkdf (check it out yourself, you'll see what I mean). Tho currently just one of each

I dont have a lot to my collection yet, currently just have one Smart Doll I got back in 2019 and, but I had always wanted more since that time, and currently I'm close to getting another one! (Which is what I was talking about in the main post). That is, if I can save up enough 😅

I am trying to work on like, a post to promote my commissions on Instagram soon, and here too but slightly less effort (bc for insta is gonna be a video) bc I wanna get her sooo badly and need the money. But it isn't an emergency, so I dont wanna like, beg or make people feel bad for not commissioning me. I just need to learn how to promote it

Most of my dolls come from my childhood (like the Ever After High dolls), but I've been growing my collection more and more each year

Ohhh yes, I know exactly what you mean about the prices 🫠 (I wanted an American Girl Doll when I was growing up ever since my cousins got one, but I was never able to get one bc of the price 🥲)

I see that Smart Dolls go for a high price as well depending on where you get them from, wow! I'll be honest, I hadn't ever heard of them before this, haha. Those are fancy!

Ah yeah, I've never done commissions before so I don't know much about how to promoting them, but I imagine it's hard to get those out there and seen (unkind algorithms and crap, ugh). I wish you the best of luck with that! o7

Monster High, I remember that show (the one back in 2010-2017, I know there's multiple but that's the only one I watched for a brief time haha, which was also so long ago holy crap where has the time gone? ;-;)

Never seen Rainbow High or Ever After High, but they sound interesting!

I do see a Fluttershy tucked back in there, are you an MLP fan as well? :) (I love that series and watch it so much that I can quote a lot of the episodes... it freaks my brother out that I know 'em so well lol)

Oooooo Disney, that's a fun trip! I've only been there once when I five or six (I hardly remember anything about it, sadly, only that after just about every ride I went on I would always cheer "again, again!" until I got another go on it lol). My parents got me a blanket in the reveal that we were going, and it had all the princesses (at the time) on it, and it was pink, and soft, and big and beautiful and ugh... I miss that thing. </3

In fact, we weren't gonna get them at all before, but my uncle had a friend who was going to visit brasil, and he asked her to send the dolls to us (cuz that wpuld make it cheaper to mail. The dolls themselves were already really expensive) and we got them a few days before school started XD.

They are very fancy, and also the most diverse when it comes to body and skin types within the BJD industry! Which I like a lot. But yeah, very pricey, my wallet will be in the hospital after this lmaoo

And thank you! Yeah, commissions are a bit hard to get due to algorithms, and I haven't been able to promote them much due to irl stuff, but they've been open for like, 2 months now and I only got 2 orders 🥲. Tho tbf, I dont make many posts about it kajsoqlsl

It's the same user as here @/ notsodailycake, tho I'm a lot more active here, my original works gets more attention on Instagram, so yeah, and will probably be where I can get more eyes on my commissions. Tho I will try and push it more here too, I just feel linda ashamed to keep "begging"

I only watched some webisodes and movies from monster high, but due to like, my mom being really religious back then (not nowadays tho) I wasn't allowed to watch or have monster highs (had to donate the only one I had, which was a whole drama in itself I only found out after I became older). So in turn, I watched their sister series Ever After High, they belong to the same universe technically. Cupid actually went through a mirror that took her to EAH and she became a student there too! Probably got mlre dolls in EAH than MH too.

I haven't seen much of the current series for MH G3, but I have been collecting their dolls as of late since they started to get really good looks haha.

Rainbow High used to be good, but they flopped after budget cuts and catering back to little kids with slime stuff. Tho they somewhat seem to be making a comeback? They brought the sister brand Shadow High back with collectors edition dolls, but they all sell at the same market price as regular dolls (30€) which is neat :]

And yez!!! I grew up with MLP!! I even have the Equestria Girls dolls that had the necklace you could scan on one of their games! Most of my mlp collection is back in brasil tho🥲

The only dolls I really grew up with were Cabbage Patch Kids, they weren't anywhere near as fancy or detailed as some of the stuff out there, but they were very loved in our home :)

Yeah, I wasn't really allowed to watch MH either, being raised as a Christian (I could now if I wanted to tho bc I now understand more and am stronger in my faith :) ). It was really only when MH started after the show we were watching ended, and maybe only for like two minutes before we shut the TV off or just switched channels.

There's a mirror that someone went through that took her to EAH??? Sounds like an oddly familiar plot to Equestria Girls XD (they probably played off each other's idea lol)

Speaking of Equestria Girls...

I am becoming more and more ashamed to say this, the more I realize what I've missed out on, but... I actually haven't watched Equestria Girls yet. O^O

At the time it came out, I was just like "WOAH WHY DO THEY HAVE HANDS, WHAT IS THAT, WHAT IS SPIKE, WHAT IS HAPPENING??!?!?" and then I kinda just gave up on it after that 😅

It was just too... weird and different for me to get into the whole acceptance of "they were ponies who knew each other, and now they're humans who have to rebuild their currently non-existent deep friendships, and only two of them (Twilight and Spike) know who everyone else is but they have no idea what's going on", thing... y'know?

But I'm thinking about watching the whole EG series, I hear they're pretty good :) (plus my brother convinced me after he recently watched the first movie with a friend for the first time XD)

Oooo you might have to show me your MLP collection when you get them all back! (Only if you want to, of course XD) I used to have a decent collection of those myself before we donated/sold them all (it's fine, I'm happy for the kids who got to love on them after me <3)

Ok, first. The weather.

It was windy as all get out (like solid 21mph), and it was a little bit warm to begin with, but oh my gosh when those clouds came in... *angel sound effect*!

Second. We took my friend with us.

It's his second time coming, last year was spontaneous for him so he didn't have much of a costume, but this year he was prepared! He had a great time, and it was really fun to have him walk around with us! :)

Third. The people.

Ugh I can't even begin to tell you how much I love the people who come to this fair.

Multiple asked what I was, if the skulls were real, where I got them from, and how I made them into handpuppets.

*petting Bright* "Aww, they're so cute!" -A young woman with her group of friends petting my handpuppets

Fourth. The kids.

Oh. My. Gosh. Those were the best reactions I think I've ever got from children.

Many of them pet the skulls, one little girl pet all three and had a chitter conversation with Bright and Dark <3

*waving* "Hi, reindeer!" -The sweetest little voice of a boy seeing me from a distance (I almost died 🥹🥰)

*jumping up and down with the biggest grin on her face* "That was so COOOOOL!! :D" -A girl after taking a picture with me (me: 😭💓💥)

There was also a baby who just locked dead onto me while being pushed past in a wagon, straight up keeping the eyes on me even after having people go on front of them... I've never seen a baby so focused. 👀 I gave a wave but baby did not wave back, that's how serious that eye contact was lol

Some people avoided me, both adults and kids, but honestly, once they heard the chittering from my handpuppets, a lot of 'em just lit up and relaxed and loved them.

And the trinkets....... ahhh, the trinkets!!

We didn't have any trinkets to trade with people (bc we can't find our coins we got to do that with 😭), but mmmmm!!

Welp.

We went late because we were worried it would rain, and had to bail early because it DID rain (and hailed... ouch 🫠)

*sigh*

Nonetheless, it was a beautiful active day! :)

Bright and Dark got to chew on someone's hands (he put his hands in their mouths by himself lol)

"They're eating me, I'm being eaten! XD" -Said with giggles :)

I got defeated by a pool noodle sword (he stabbed me with it, clearly I couldn't have survived his 3 foot might! *dramatic hand to forehead*)

I got to playfully chase two little ones around when I was challenged by a boy (their squeals of joy were so cute 🥰)

Bright and Dark also got to nibble on two girls' paper fans, causing them both to giggle and keep offering the fans to them <3

Someone took a Snapchat with us, I didn't get his name, but we're somewhere on there, private or not XD

There were several people who were like "that costume is so cool" and then when they heard my voice after I said "thank you" they were like "YOOO YOU'RE A GIRL AND NOT A GUY, WHAT :O!!!" So funny to me hahaha 😂

"Is there a human in there?" -A girl, slightly hesitant, but still curious while petting the handpuppets

Me: "yes"

Her: "Ohhh so you're making the sounds for them!" *referring to Bright and Dark*

Her parents: *laughing at my casual 'yes.'*

"Are you controlling them?" -A different girl after realizing that I'm also a human underneath the mask

"I see her skin shining through the mask" -Same girl (my mask under the head is getting stretched out and I'm becoming more visible as time goes on... I should replace it soon :,) )

THEY FOUND ME OUT, MAKE A BREAK FOR IT 🏃‍♀️💨

"You look so much like my friend's DnD character, but cooler, can I take a picture of you?" -Bro kinda threw his friend under the bus with that one, but okay 😂

My brother got "fairy dusted" (sprayed with glitter) to heal his "wounds" after he was defeated by our nemesis in cosplay (remember that guy who I said "stabbed" me last year? Yeah, that dude XD)

Someone noticed the beads on my shoes! That's the first time someone's seen them! :D

I saw at least one photographer get a picture of us, so I know we're out there somewhere... I just hope they post it so I can have it too! lol

No trinkets today, but we did find our coins, so we'll be prepared for it ;)

I'm a surprising hit with kids this year, and I LOVE IT 🩵🩵🩵
