I've got something magnificent right here

a part of me honestly feels like desi boys will never support desi girls in their strive for change because desi boys benefit in every way in our culture and traditions,boys get to do whatever they want and even if they get caught doing something they shouldn’t it’ll be brushed away and they won’t get into serious trouble and then after having all the fun they want they’ll settle down with a nice girl and have a family that they’ll impose the same practices onto that’s why it’s so easy for desi boys to say they’re ‘traditional’ or they love our ‘traditions and culture’ and our culture is the ‘best’

this is so petty but i really wish white people would stop using “the color of someone’s skin” as a stand-in term for “race.” they are not the same thing. this is not about the color of my skin, i am asian and paler than you yet you still hate me

it’s the same as when they’re like “i don’t care if you’re black, white, brown, green, purple…” as though racism is just about someone’s appearance and not deeply entrenched scientific, medical, and social categories for the express purpose of oppression and violence

Anyone else have this like weird anxiety about people questioning your actions? So much so that even when you’re just doing completely innocuous and normal things that nobody would ever ask you about or even take note of, you imagine having to explain and justify why you’re doing it to someone else?
