Part 2 of my Feng Costume Designer shift!
Babygirl Feng Ying in pale versions of MQ’s colors. So cute! I think the first time MQ sees her in this outfit and realizes she’s wearing pastel versions of his colors, it would make him tear up (that he would deny). Add in the bunny ear Tang Dynasty hairstyle and she is heartstoppingly cute!
Different version of similar dress. Feng Ying wearing this in winter when she is playing outside. I really love the butterfly wing shaped bodice and the little pair of rabbits in the center! Perfect for the cutest Babygirl in all of Heaven!
also something funny I’ve noticed in CDramas, the translation will sometimes mistranslate (I think it’s censorship tbh) someone insulting another with “Little cutie”, “little darling” little adorable” and making people think they are backhanded complimenting the main lead. Thing is, they are actually saying jiàn rén (賤人)which actually means smth like “little bitch” or “dumb c*nt or “whore” or some variation of those.
so sometimes in CDrama where the cast is children, I be like 👁️👁️ when I hear a child call another child that. And then the English commments be like “Well, at least even her enemies think she’s cute” and I just be there like “Welll………….No”.
I think this would be a great hairstyle for Crown Princess Xie Ying when she has to attend a special event or banquet or whatever with the rest of the Royal Family. Big, makes her look taller (do we think Xie Ying would be short or tall or average height?) and probably makes her feel like such a grown lady.
Watched a CDrama with the child actress that started this whole costume design series. She’s always amazing in every drama she’s in.
This particular drama, is literally Xie Lian’s dream for Xie Ying! The little girl is secretly an extremely powerful cultivator sword master, the most powerful in the world, someone who can stop a sword with just a finger and kill the god of evil in just one swing.all of Xie Lian’s dreams come true in it.
Only got one pic of this dress. But I like it. Very light and wispy. The whole look is perfect for Babygirl. Simple enough for Feng Ying to run around in, but with the hair, still glamorous.
I really really like the layered look on this dress. With the ombré of the top layer sleeves combined with the white, it gives me the vibe of a water spirit or seafoam.
And I love her hair, the two long braids with pearls braided in, the loops and the rest gathered on top like a little crown. Feng Ying definitely made sure to harass Baba for the hairstyle before the sun was even up. Tbf, this would be one of her simpler ones.
I love this Ming Dynasty outfit! I love the pale blue color (very Baba core), the intricate cloud collar, the hanging pearls, the little pink flowers (very A-Die core), her shawl pinned to her sleeves so she can still make big dramatic gestures like Baba, her ruffled layered sleeves, her pink ribbons, and especially the little miniature bunny in her hairdo!
It’s prime Feng/Xie Ying! Would I draw it? Absolutely fucking not, that level of details would kill me. But it’s perfect for her!
For now, that is all the outfits I’ve collected. But I have some cute pictures from the Dramas that give me Feng family vibes
Main actress doing a “meow meow”. So cute. Feng Ying would do this.
The older brother was getting spanked with a ruler as punishment and the main character threw herself over him to make their father stop (their father is a POS. Because he had beef with the mom, he would either ignore or terrorize his kids. It got to the point where the brother, who was reborn 8 times, didn’t even call him father. Just his name. Honest to god, I have no idea why the mom stayed married to him when they don’t like each other. Her aunt is the Dowager Empress! She could just ask her to grant a divorce and it would be done! But the mom is also stupid asf and I also have beef with her.) beating him. I can see Feng Ying and Mu Xi doing this but I cannot imagine Fengqing ever beating their children. It would bring back too many painful memories for Feng Xin and Mu Qing could never bring himself to hit his little darlings.

God the first outfit is so cute I can't. The cut of that outfit is the cutest thing, with the the little bits of fur on the collar and sleeves. And the bunny ear hairstyle? I could cry. She's literally bnuy. Also crazy about it being pastel versions of Mu Qing's colours.
And then the second outfit being so similar but in a pastel version of Feng Xin's red colour scheme is sooooo. Feeling very normal about it to say the least. The butterfly bodice with the bunnies is so cutes too.
Absolutely obsessed with the fact that all these kids in C dramas are going around calling people dumb cunts and little bitches. This too is Feng Ying core. She takes after her mama!
I really like the third hairstyle for our little princess. Definitely makes her feel very fancy with the hair ornaments. As for her height, I think she starts off pretty short as a kid and then has a huge growth spurt in her teens and ends up 6 feet tall (right in the middle of Feng Xin and Xie Lian's heights). Also love the outfits for this. It reminds me of amethysts.
4th outfit is adorable. I love the flowers (?) That are decorating it. The white and blue is very Xie Lian coded, which is especially perfect given the plot of the drama!
I think the plot is also Feng Ying's dream for herself. She would love it! This is one of the few things she shares with Xie Lian. Maybe this could be her outfit for her sword training lessons!
Fifth one is so pretty. I love how lovely and gauzy it is. And the little pearls are so cutie. I love the hair too. Definitely perfect for her. She can run around and scrap with her brother but also look pretty and glamorous!
The cut of the sixth outfit is giving me matching with Baba vibes and I love it. Especially with the beautiful blue ombre effect. I assume she's matching with baba to make up for the fact that she woke him up at 5am to do her hair all pretty. The hairstyle is peak Feng Ying and I love it. I need to start drawing her with pearls braided into her hair because that's so her.
The last outfit is so cute omg. I'm obsessed with that super fancy cloud collar. Its adorable and perfect for her and so fancy. I think she would love it. This whole outfit is perfect for little princess Xie Ying, when she wants to match with both her baba and a-die. I feel like Xie Lian probably gave her the little mini bunny that's in her hair. Dont know why but thats the vibes I get.
It looks so hard to draw but i almost want to try to. But I have so many other things to draw and I know it would kill me.

Feng ying would absolutely do a meow meow. Very baba core. She is basically a little kitten anyways.
Onto the second one, I can absolutely see Feng Ying trying to defend Mu Xi from getting hit. The only problem is that i also can't see Fengqing hitting their kids. They can excuse hitting each other but they draw the line at hitting the kids. I do kinda think that Feng Xin might have expected that he would hit them, and kind of dreaded it, since in his guard training he got used to being hit, and he's not fully rationalized that that was a bad thing that happened to him. But when the kids are born he realizes he can't bring himself to do it, and that if anyone tried he would rip them to shreds. It also probably makes him question parts of his training.
I imagine that this all gives outsiders the perception that Fengqing are very lenient, spoiling parents.
I would say that it could be Feng Ying and Mu Xi in the calamity!au. But honestly I can't see Calamity!Xie Lian hitting the kids either. He just hits Feng Xin instead.
Next photo is so babygirl and Mu Qing core! I love the contrast of babygirl in her cute little purple outfit, and Mu Qing serving in black and gold. Also that guan is so Mu Qing coded. He needs one like that.
Finally, the last photo is so cute! Definitely Feng Xin and babygirl core. I can absolutely see him putting his hand on babygirl's shoulder and pulling her closer. Maybe if they're in a situation he's a little worried about, like if Hua Cheng or Qi Rong are around.
