Wasting my time

I was tagged by @writing-while-sleep-deprived in this thing where I have to pock songs that start with each letter of my url. I also wasn't supposed to repeat bands. I guess I am supposed to tag people in this, but I don't really know people, so nobody gets anything out of this post but me, but hey if you want to play the game it is an effective diversion and gets you thinking about your identity and some cool music, so as an expert at being human (ALMOST 2 DECADES EXPERIENCE), I recommend it. Remember when tumblr was full of complaints about how people focused on the love triangle instead of the horrors of the reality in Hunger Games? I still roll my eyes at how I saw more about that than any real horror of the world. I guess escapism takes different forms with different levels of haughtiness.

There are people that can go an entire month without thinking of periods, and I wish I remembered what that was like

I don't see why hairdressers expect me to know what cut I should get. How am I supposed to know what will look good; I don't get hair. Yeah I grow the hair, but I know as much about hair cutting as the ground knows about lawnmowers.

Okay so I was having a shitty day for no reason in particular. I just felt awful, was worried about everything and I hated everything about myself, so I was in a bad place emotionally. So I took a walk. A long walk. After over an hour and a half I sat by a pond on a college campus to just have a good cry. It was pretty much going according to plan as I began to drown in my self pity. I surrounded myself with my darkest thoughts and let it consume me. But then something changed: Julia showed up. This girl who I had never met before walked up to me and asked me if I was okay. I told her the version of the truth where I was Okay because I was still living, and she offered to talk about what was upsetting me. I know I couldn't explain it to her because I can't explain it to myself, so I told her no. She gave me tissues and offered me food, and with a few more encouraging word she left. I don't know if she knows how much that meant to me, but thank you, Julia. And thank you to all of the people like her that would go out of their way to help a stranger.
