Get to Know the Reader
I was tagged by the beautiful person behind bumblebeeboat (because she is the only person who cares that this log exists) to do this tagy thing so hey, lets go.Â
Physical Book or eBook:Â Physical books for anything that has actually been published by a publisher but since I read mostly fanfiction, most of my reading is done online.
Audiobook or In Hand: Most things I read âin handâ but Iâve listened to a couple audio books recently like I listened to the audio book of Good Omens: the Nice and Accurate prophesies of Angus Nutter, Witch and it was a magical experience
Paperback or Hardcover:Â I donât really have much of a preference. I guess hard cover unless Iâm buying it because paperback is cheaper and I prefer cheap things
Adult or Young Adult:Â Young Adult. Iâm not quite to the age where I can relate to adult people problems. And also Itâs 100 times more annoying where the writing in adult books is bad then when the writing is bad in YA books.
Series or Standalone:â¨Â Standalone just because its less commitment. When you read stand alone books you can get more crazy premises that you can experience. Also the author is forced to tie up loose ends a bit more.
Dog Ears or Bookmarks: â¨Bookmarks. Itâs not that Iâm against dog earing, I just never think to do it. If I donât have a book make I am more likely to just remember my page and close the book that dog ear.
Breaking the Spine or Barely Opening the Book: â¨I really do not care what happens with the spine. It just does what is does what ever way i most comfortable to hold the book.
Borrow or Buy: Borrow. I actually use the library as it is (support libraries, yo.). Crazy, I know. I also borrow books from friends sometimes. I do buy some books, especially if I want a certain book thatâs new or something.
Bookstore or Online: Bookstore unless its a really specific book.
Fiction or Nonfiction: âFiction, real life is boring as hellâ this is what Anna said and I agree.
Fantasy World or Real Life Issues:Â I donât have much of a preference. Lately Iâve been leaning towards real life but thatâs just cause nothing fantasy-esque is striking my fancy.
Kindle, iPad or Other: iphone
Monster Read or Short and Sweet:Â On the long side of short and sweet. not only do I not like to carry around huge books but also I donât get invested enough into books to books to read them for that long. I have stopped reading books that couldnât hold my attention half way though and have never looked back.
Starry-Eyed Romance or Full of Action:Â what can I say, Iâm a sucker for some cheesy romance. less so now than before but still.Â
Read the Review or Decide Yourself:Â Decide for myself. I will look at the ratings of things but wonât really read reviews.
Zombies or Unicorns: Zombies. I have literally never read anything that had unicorns in it. Unicorns donât create conflict. Zombies do.
