Thanks! Sorry if this is a late response, Tumblr hasn’t been giving me ask notifications for some reason. The job market is ok for bachelors degrees. You can get into mud logging and other low level positions if you were able to acquire any specific skills during undergrad. If you managed to get GIS certified that would also open a bunch of doors. Unfortunately, most big state schools like the one I attended don’t put a lot of focus on making undergrads workplace ready out of college. If you’re open minded about the kind of work you do, a B.S is generally fine, but there’s a definite pay wall. Most of the people I know who didn’t go to grad school have found laboratory or soil testing jobs. I went for my M.S because i knew if I took a break from school I’d never want to come back, so I rolled up my sleeves and powered through a couple more semesters. I mainly want to get my PhD because I want to do high level research and maybe teach as a professor someday
