an updated list of my favourite mods for gale specifically, containing general mods, as well as friendship & romance specific mods.

general mods

1 - gale beard fix (obtainable by installing it with the in-game mod manager)

this mod fixes a bug with gale's beard that causes extensive clipping issues, especially when he speaks.

2 - gale earring physics (obtainable by installing it with the in-game mod manager)

adds physics to gale's earrings. it's a small qol mod, but it really makes a difference in cutscenes.

3 - tara joins the camp (obtainable by installing it with the in-game mod manager)

this mod doesn't only allow tara to actually join camp early on, but she also has dialogue with the protag. the mod adds greetings to her, and uses gale's and tara's act 3 dialogue for a more immersive experience.

4 - gale's wizardly updo (obtainable by installing it with the in-game mod manager)

slightly alters gale's existing hairstyle and makes it (imo) make more sense. a longer version is also available from the same author.

5 - re-designed tent for gale (available on nexus)

Gale's attempt to reorganize his tent in a way that reminded him of his comfortable room in Waterdeep.

this mod adds warm lights, potted plants and much more to gale's tent to make it more reminiscent of his home in waterdeep.

another bonus of this mod is that many of gale's scene aren't too dark anymore with the added light sources, especially in act 1 this makes a huge difference. i highly recommend it.

6 - delfinition's armors (available on nexus)

adds a really nice armour variant to gale.

friendship & romance mods

1 - hug your companions - in-dialogue hug interactions (available on nexus)

this mod allows you to hug gale (as well as all other companions). it's available for all body types and is triggered by in-game dialogue. gale has a voiceline after you request a hug and after the hug itself.

2 - kisses mod (available on nexus)

allows you to use various kiss animations for gale.

A few notes:

You do not need your Twitter.

Twitter is not the boost you think it is anymore.

I have seen at least 6 people I follow on BlueSky saying they have looked into their numbers and compared to Twitter? BSky gives them over double the exposure and follow through for outside links (probably because Twitter kills your tweet if you have links).

Twitter is testing a feature to allow other users to click a button attached to your posts to put your art into their Grok ai and make ai art with it without your permission automatically.

It is marking non-ai art as being made with Grok (probably to promote it).

You do not need Twitter.

Twitter needs you.

I posted my videos and reposted and boosted them on that platform for years, I had over 30k followers on one account, and 10k on another. How many actual views on my actual videos did this promotional effort translate into? Barely over 2000 views on my channel...

in an entire year!

Every social media with a For You algorithm is designed, fundamentally, to make you engage ON the platform, and NOT engage anywhere OFF the platform. This is not unique to Twitter, but Twitter is uniquely worthless as a means to drive traffic, conversation or interest to literally anywhere else on the internet.

If you try to drive engagement on Twitter, you can get tens of thousands of retweets on a viral post, but barely a few dozen clickthroughs to your stream, your new video, your Patreon, your whatever.

And for those insignificant returns you have to endure the endless pornbots, the endless genAI spam accounts, and the triumphant rampage of fucking bluecheck Nazis who may descend on your post at any moment, and who you can't even fucking properly block anymore.

It's not worth it. As a business decision, it simply is not worth it.

I know you might have your old group DMs on there, or maybe it's where you have your shitposting community, or people who you want to keep in touch with, and I understand that. So if you're going to stay on Twitter, stay on Twitter for THAT. Do not delude yourself into believing its necessary for your business or your livelihood, because it just isn't anymore. Literally any other social media will give your work better visibility, and better chances at driving traffic.

So, here's a small breakdown on my design decisions:

• Overwhelming us is their point.

• Find a few issues you care about.

• Give yourself a day or two to react to the news.

apparently he (who through my drunken memory I remember only as Earl) liked some woman, and she told him that he wasn't cultured enough and needed to attend his first drag show (she also flaked on him)

Now I'm reasonably androgynous and was wearing makeup, a short leather skirt, and black heeled boots, but still when this guy came up to me when I was standing off alone and asked "So. Do you come here often?" with a very earnest expression, I thought. Surely not. This guy doesn't think I'm a straight woman does he????

Anyway I start talking with this guy and he has no idea what the fuck is going on but he is just a very kind and earnest dude and asked a lot of questions (while asking if it was alright if he asked those questions). I track down my husband and friends and I'm like y'all. We need to make sure that Earl has a Good Fucking Time tonight.

Man was completely out of his depth. At one point they put on a puppy auction to raise money for Pride, that started with a 6 ft drag queen in all her glory leading a leather pup out on a leash to the tune of that damned RSPCA "in the arms of the angels" song

We look at Earl. Nervous. He squints, laughs, and then goes "I was wondering why people were dressed like that!" He turned to me and asked "So they're like dogs?" And I said yeah pretty much. And he just chuckled and went "Yeah I thought so with the tails! Never seen this before!"

When the first drag king came out, Earl looked at me wide eyed and went "There's a dude version too?!" And I said yeah they're called drag kings. And he said, low, "Drag kings."

During one of the queens performances, he frowned, shook his head and told me, "Your legs are better than hers." in a tone that implied he thought there was some travesty taking place and I should also be getting paid

When he found out I was there with my husband (and that I am not a woman) he profusely apologized and said "I'm so sorry, it's dark in here and I thought you were a hot chick! I wouldn't have said nothing if I knew you had a husband, I'm so sorry about that."

When beemovie invited me to the dance floor with him later and I still had a drink in my hand, Earl said "Oh don't worry about that I can hold your drink, you get on out there and shake your ass with your husband!" Then before we left, Earl bought me drinks for "Putting up with me all night and answering everything. Y'all helped me have a great time tonight."

like. You gotta recognize there's going to people who have never had interacted outside of their of their own community. This includes you. And just because your community is familiar with all the right vocabulary and how to correctly say something, it doesn't mean they're actually going to support you. If someone like Earl shows up, confused and out of their depth but kind and curious and earnest, you gotta have patience and truck through the small things, so when he goes back to his friends and his coworkers and they snicker asking how the drag show was, he can genuinely talk about how included we tried to make him feel and that he had a great time
