hi guys, i need to visit a neurologist and pay off my rheumatology visit as my health is getting worse and were trying to figure out what the issue is. I am unable to work a normal job and am a self employed commission artist, So ive set up a new goal on my ko-fi to help with my medical stuff as well as finishing my very last class for my degree.
I age out of my insurance next year and have so much i need to get done so i do not lose access to my meds and care, both physical and mental, and unfortunately I am getting worse as time goes on.
Please consider spreading this and i would be overjoyed if anyone would be able to commission me :,)

for those who don’t remember, “mole interest” was an experiment I did 2 years ago because I wanted to test what causes tags to go trending on tumblr. My hypothesis was that all it takes is one (1) post blowing up in an established tag to make the entire tag trend.
I had randomly generated 2 words, which is where “mole interest” came from. I failed to consider that by generating a new tag, it wouldn’t have had enough posts already in it to prove what I now call “the mole interest effect”.
But now it does.
In 2023, we said “fuck it” a la mythbusters and ended up doing whatever it took to get #mole interest to trend. And it did. And it happened to be September 11th that day, and we managed to get #mole interest to trend ABOVE #9/11.
So, in the name of science, I ask you to reblog just this post. Let’s put the mole interest effect to the test.
for anyone who's playing OFF on nintendo switch, i encountered a glitch where if you use the item Golden Flesh from the items menu, it crashes the game. you can use it in battle without a problem, it only happens when it's used in the menu
(idk if this happens on other platforms or if other people have encountered this issue, but i figured i should let everyone know!)
"where are the audio dramas made by women??"
"where are the audio dramas made by poc??"
they are here. they exist and they are plentiful. you just need to stop listening to the same show 3 shows made by white men on repeat. it is always so painfully clear to me the difference between people who are fans of Audio Drama as a medium and people who are fans of (insert big show here). When their chosen fixation fails to provide the representation that they claim to advocate for, they make up for it via diverse headcanons instead of listening to shows Made by marginalized communities.
expand your horizons. don't just reblog posts with lists of shows made by marginalized communities, actually listen to those shows. talk about them on social media. the Big Shows don't need more publicity, they will be popular forever. put your mouth and your support where you claim it is.
If you're reading this and thinking it's applicable to you – here's some fantastic shows by people who aren't cis-white-guys to get started with:
The Gospel of Haven (@thegospelofhaven)
Apollyon (@observerpix)
The Holmwood Foundation (@theholmwoodfoundation)
Remnants (@remnantspod)
@totcoc0a's own Soul Operator (@souloperatorpod)
would be remiss if i didn't add the fantastic Hi Nay @hinaypod in the list!!!!
I knew I recognized Mari's voice from somewhere!! The creator of Hi Nay also wrote and performed a short story for Nine to Midnight (Heavy Flow) which was no contest one of my favorites in the anthology, so go check that out too, and then go check out Hi Nay (or vice versa)!
mentioned this in the tags in my previous reblog but-
if you like things like paranormal investigators, psychic detectives, cursed objects, folklore beings in an urban setting, and/or podcasts where the narrator is addressing a specific in-world listener (like Alice Isn't Dead or Mabel), then you'll love Hi Nay!
(the characters also kinda give me Penumbra Pod vibes so far but I'm still only on the first few episodes, and idk how much of that is a boss baby vibes scenario bc I do tend to just get "Phoenix Wright Vibes" from anything that has detectives in it lol - so by extension anything that Has A Detective In It has a similar vibe to everything else that also has a detective. at least to me)
adding:
Nowhere, On Air (https://nowhereonairpodcast.weebly.com/) - basically sapphic Canadian Night Vale! I haven't listened to the full thing yet so unfortunately I can't say much more, other than that Jesse has a very soothing voice and she uses it to describe strange and disturbing things!
Deadwood - @deadwood-podcast (https://deadwoodpod.carrd.co/) - set to release this fall! I only found out about Deadwood yesterday but I'm so hyped for it!! cosmic horror that spits in the face of hp lovecraft and complex sibling dynamics are EXACTLY the kind of things I'm interested in, can't wait!
Station Arcadia - @stationarcadia - dystopian diesel/steam/cyber/solarpunk queer anthology (I think there's an overarching plot but I haven't listened to all of it yet)! idk if it fits the "women +/ poc" specs exactly (and I can't tell if those were meant to just be examples or if they're what this post is specifically about, sorry if I got it wrong!), but the team is definitely gender diverse in other ways from what I could find
also - compiling suggestions from the notes (mainly for personal reference but if anyone else gets some use out of it then that's cool too! thank you to anyone who contributed any of these!):

Trio of personal commissions I created a few months back. Always a pleasure bringing people's ideas to life :)
god's creator and it's martyr
from yours truly - 🔮
Sometimes people get their start in fandom with something like, idk, the MCU or light action shows like Supernatural or children's fantasy like Warriors (this last example said with love), where the writing is an inconsistent mess, characterization can change on a dime, there's no themes stronger than like "family" or "stop the bad guy from changing our way of life". And their fandom experience is taking the hints of interesting ideas presented and dropped and spinning them into something interesting, or just fluffy and fun, and then discarding the rest.
And then these people come to a piece of art that like. Actually has themes and good writing and a coherent vision, but they're still trained on The Giant Trash Heap That Must Be Sorted Through, so they start their routine of excising fun yaoi moments and throwing the rest in the trash, except now the rest is like. A professionally made passion project by a group of skilled writers with a hundred years writing experience between them, and this fan is writing the same coffee shop AUs as ever. And it makes something that feels same-y and fandom out of something unique and well-made and, well, interesting.
And like. That's their prerogative, more power to them, but it makes me wanna pull my hair out to talk to these people about a piece of media I actually care about beyond that Trash Heap level.
And if you're someone whose only fandom experience has been Trash Sorting and you're running into people arguing with you abt their favorite piece of media, give them a second thought I guess?
love and peace, @kingofgoblets. this is a good addition
[ screencapture is of tags that say: #and honestly i still like that stuff. i too was born in the trash. raised by it. #but you gotta know when you're just scrapbooking bits and pieces #versus when you're reading a full rich text thoroughly #there is room in your brain for both i promise #but even on days when you only have scrapbook energy #don't. do NOT. Pick fights with the people doing the intense reading. #if that isn't what you're into today? you're allowed to scroll on #or open a new file and make that coffee shop au. ]
tags from @annabelle--cane are good
its kinda that im not really mad people are doing the generic fandom stuff stuff, im just real fucking bummed out that more people could be rambling about the themes too. i love theories and lore diving and literary analysis and some fandoms you go into the tags and hope to see some of that but its all very generic fandom stuff and thats where the frustration comes in. not because of whats there but because of whats not
