Pray for those men who are in addiction, in poverty, in hospice, who go through bullying and isolation and domestic abuse, who have been raped and are sexually abused, who are self-harming and contemplating suicide. Who are struggling in their homes, marriages, families; with their health, and their safety. Please pray for all the young men who have lost their lives due to PTSD and insufficient support and trauma and accidents. Please pray for the surviving families, and their male members, whose sons, fathers, and brothers were targeted and taken away from them too soon because of crime and violence and injustice.

If they ask you to click a link and enter sensitive information, there's a high chance it's a scam. Log into your account via the site's login page (NOT the page the message linked you to), and see if there's a notification in the account that corresponds to their claims.

If they have a mishmash of numbers or letters in their name, like the account screenshotted above, they're not the company's official rep. I've never seen an authorized rep with gibberish in their name, but scammers often have them.

Carolina Milanesi, an independent technology analyst, said Google is trying to make its cash cow business — search — richer and more personalized, and it will make shopping easier. But there is a risk that users may have fewer choices about what to click. "Right now it's: I ask a question, I get a bunch of answers and I feel that I'm in control as to which answer I take, or if I'm looking for something, which product I'm going to end up buying. That is going to be less so going forward," she said. Milanesi envisions AI-enabled search and agents proposing products to consumers — perhaps even those they have requested — but with less clarity or choice around where it's coming from. "If you're going to say: 'I want a pair of Jordans, go find them,' you're not necessarily sure what steps have been taken and whether the AI has used a source or a store that was paid for and therefore came up in the search results," she said, "or if AI actually went and did their due diligence and picked the best for me as a customer."

While Google already has “AI Mode,” the company will now power the whole search bar through its new Gemini 3.5 Flash model.  Instead of the classic list of blue links, Google Search will now also generate a custom page with an AI-generated summary of what you’re searching about, which will then trigger a conversation with AI Mode on the main page, allowing users to ask follow-up questions—similar to the kind of layout you would see when opening ChatGPT.

My husband is being admitted to the hospital with capillary pneumonia, and I don't know how long he'll be in for treatment, or what that treatment will involve.

He's had one round of IV antibiotics, along with fluids. Viral labs came back negative (so no covid or RSV). Sent a blood culture to the state labs for TB since there are known active cases in our town, even if he's unlikely to have picked it up.

Second round of antibiotics done, he's still doing pretty well. Slight fever, but we will hopefully see that go away in the next few hours.

It's sounding more and more like he'll be out on Wednesday sometime.

(To clarify on the previous update, the chances of TB are very slim, but they just want to cover all the bases since it's out there.)
