Imagine not having to pay for check oil and tire rotations and new tires and check engine light is on and all that other bullshit that has your car in the shop every other month.

but I did not realize just how much this man lies straight through his teeth. Like yeah. It makes sense you’d have to constantly lie if you’re playing the part of “oh what’s a vampire? What does silver do again?” But there have been two(ish) times where it’s incredibly obvious but yet slipped past me the first watch

now I don’t know if cc!Abolish knew that his character should know like a Lot about vampires when he was recording the first episodes because there’s a ton of “what does silver do? Wait vampires are real? No that can’t be right what’s wrong with this town” EVEN WHEN he’s completely alone. He doesn’t have to act for anybody. Which could be a) cc!Abolish didn’t know exactly How Much v!Abolish should know about vampires, or b) v!Abolish is So Committed to the Bit (which is also entirely possible) and is Lying Through His Teeth CONSTANTLY.

and if option b is the case he’s Incredibly Good at lying too. Obviously it’s not too hard because these are 13 people he’s just met, he can easily make them believe whatever he wants them to. But he’s still “in character” even when he’s entirely alone and the characters don’t know that the vampires can be bats or invisible (although v!Abolish would probably know that they can do that so it would makes sense why he would stay in character even when alone)

but the two ish scenes I’ve seen so far where there’s not a ton of nuance in the fact that he’s lying (or very much ignoring the topic) is one: when he spends the entirety of the beginning of an episode telling people “hey I Think Cleo’s a vampire because of a b and c” and then later goes up to Pearl and Cleo talking about people suspecting Cleo’s a vampire and Abolish straight up is like “well yeah that makes sense the town’s on edge right now” like yes. Okay. Sure. But also I’m fairly certain no one suspected Cleo as a vampire until You pointed it out to them. Multiple times. This is the first ‘Abolish says something about Cleo that gets misconstrued immediately but he probably should have considered that the townsfolk were going to jump to conclusions before saying anything’ incident (the other one is when Cleo and the vampire are chasing Pearl and Abolish says that neutrally, then Cleo gets mad at him cause Martyn assumed Cleo was attacking Pearl.)

Been thinking about v!Owen (because I’m never not doing so) and how he never properly grieved Louis in canon—he’d gone through the 200 years buried and all of canon period Oakhurst believing that he’d see Louis again when he died because he couldn’t cope with Louis being dead at all, basically preventing himself from fully grieving in order to cling to the idea of being able to meet Louis. On a stages-of-grief level (denial anger bargaining depression acceptance not strictly in that order but as a point of reference), canon was spent in bargaining AT BEST.

and symbolically Owen not going through the whole process of grieving and healing from Louis’ death has a bunch of parallels on its own (Apo never learning about Pyro’s death and struggling to grieve not because she didn’t care about him but because Pyro was such a big part of the psychological and emotional abuse they faced, Sausage moving on from Oakhurst without truly processing Martyn and Ren’s deaths because his view on life is so blurred between fiction and reality and he’s in a way emotionally detached from what’s happening as long as it does not directly benefit him, Legundo blaming himself for the deaths he caused and being unable to accept that they deserve peace in death because he’s so absorbed by the hand he had to play in those deaths, Shelby having to let go of their family fantasy and draw reason into the death of Avid to see the similarities in Owen and Pyro’s behaviour, etc.) but he realistically finish that process because of his tendency to either project Louis onto others or deny his loss altogether.

Even IF Owen fully grieves in his afterlife, he’s not going to see that what he did was hurting Louis’ image and doing what Louis would’ve never wanted unless he’s doing actual deep reflection about it (which, lets be honest he’d sooner go insane or wallow in his rage for at least a century first, considering the 200 years underground, and then perpetuated even more if we take the cure duo veinbound stream as canon) and even so he’s going to be alone through that entire process, which has shown irl tends to end up really unhealthily.

You are not responsible to make adults comfortable. They can do that themselves. You are still a teen/young adult and you do not have to carry the world on your shoulders. You also do not need to make an adult happy on the internet.

Encouraging harassment is the last thing you want to do especially in a fandom with how the other fandom spaces have been. It is calling to targeting and harassing someone over what one person who has a platform said. It's also empowering fandom policing in general, which means more harassment and targeting and more isolating and also disassociating with fandom members to not get targeted—the whole schtick of cancel culture.

Blocking and curating your content is so easy to do and so much better than calling to harmful and toxic behaviours that have led to so much pain. While I do hope cc!Pyro learns and comes forward to instead inform their audience of the behaviour he encouraged and apologize for it, I ultimately have no control over that. I just hope people won't actually attack others over things like this.

Please stay respectful and kind to everyone around, take it into your hands to reach out and check in on people if you're worried. Make sure everyone is safe but more importantly keep yourself safe. Put your wants and needs above all—unless any of your wants are harmful, they shouldn't be.
