Your bestie and (most likely) your love interest sit in the car with them as they go "I can do this just watch me" and run out to fight the space equivalent of Cthulhu Eater Of Worlds on FOOT with a LASER BEAM and they don't even comment on it because honestly, what can you say.

there's something I really like about the way garrus's scar disrupts his colony markings... a big part of his character arc (to me, besides seeing the gray in the black and white) is him learning his own way to make a difference. not the hierarchy's, not his father's, not even shepard's. so breaking up that colony marking (something that represents the place he comes from, his start) feels like a step towards forging his own path.
