ok but the fact that Shane doesn’t take just anyone to his cottage. he even tells his parents that he doesn’t want to spend his time off with someone he doesn’t know. Ilya hasn’t been in Shane’s actual bedroom, just the place he bought so they could fuck (Shane’s dedicated) but THE FACT that both in the book and show, Shane is almost begging Ilya to come to the cottage. “we could have two weeks. don’t you want more time? Ilya, will you please come to my most favorite place? please, come to my favorite place 🥹” Shane even mentions in the interview that Ilya totally saw that the cottage is his most favorite place. Shane wouldn’t invite just anybody. Shane just wants to be at his favorite place with his favorite person. isn’t that the most beautiful thing?
