jesus christ, i experienced brief but severe grief over not actually being able to experience this.

I think it would feel like a lizard tongue but I've never had a lizard drink out of my hand either, and thus the whole thing remains conceptually elusive.

This makes me indescribably overjoyed.

I love leather and I love fur and I don’t mind arguing about it.

not to mention leather is literally a waste product of the meat industry, no animal is ever killed for just its leather bc the skin is worth like 4% of the total value, if it's not used for leather it's literally just wasted. and it's one of the most resilient and repairable materials there is (rabbit fur is also a waste product, as far as I know it's mink you want to avoid bc they are bred for their fur in inhumane conditions)

Stuff like this is why I honestly think… not that really simple, nuance-flattening ideas like “speciesism” are correct, but that… we do need to be humble when tempted to base how we understand our moral duties to other beings on how much their behavior or even their neurology resembles ours.
