To simply put it, the investigation is to scrutinize how funds have been used to expand the museums mission statement and acquisition of exhibits.

The blanket statement is that there was "manipulation of funds for divisive topics"

What this really means is

"I do not like that we have a native American cultural museum and an African American history museum."

I have been to one of these new museums as well as many of the main buildings. They are fantastic. The tell the history of our country and can inspire the future of it to. (That's what scares him)

If enough people take this nut burger seriously enough , this can result in him defunding the Smithsonian institute and have them remove anything he thinks is divisive. This has already been done in smaller museums. Exhibits have been removed or covered to comply with anti dei and to save funding.

Museums big and small need your help. Tell your politicians that this is wrong. Visit these museums and support them however you can. Donate to them, check their events online. Without many of these spaces, the 250th celebrations planned for next year will end.
