I've seen Azula shipped with many characters and some I can understand.
But there's something about Tyzula that really scratches my brain in the right ways. Follower to bestie, to enemies (to lovers). I love ships with complicated pasts. Give me sapphic Romeo and Juliet (minus the death of both)
And they are literally the "She was a punk, she did ballet" meme
Jokes aside, in her own very peculiar way, Azula cared. Seen as a weapon by the father she was desperate to please. Seen as a monster (or so she thought) by her own mother. Seen as a threat and liar by her big brother, who then abandoned her not once (banishment), but twice for the Avatar, to take down the only person who ever paid a little attention to her.
Mai and Ty Lee were her only friends, although she had to share the first with her brother.
So really, Ty Lee was hers and hers only.
Just the other day I finished the rewatch of atla and I couldn't look at the scene of Azula's defeat. Both her and Ty Lee were not having a good time.
Only Ty Lee got out with only a slap on her wrist, Mai returned to her bisexual disaster of a boyfriend, and she was thrown in an asylum- which if anyone other then Zuko, they would have probably even thrown the key in the vulcano. Hell, Zuko is undecided himself if he should throw it or not.
There would be a lot of potential, especially for a doomed but redeemable yuri when we think about Sozin's laws outlawing homosexuality (envious little bitch)
I'll stop here, I am procrastinating too much and fixating a lot on Azula. Maybe I can resume my thoughts on Tyzula in the future
>if anyone other then Zuko, they would have probably even thrown the key in the vulcano
Which basically what he did, until he needed to use her to find mother.
Well, metaphorically he did, but technically he didn't 😂 As I was writing I was thinking that, if it had been Katara, for example, she would have commissioned a little painting of her yeeting the key in the magma to gift Azula, right after locking the princess up.
Althought it is still awful of him to free her only because he needed something/Ozai forced his hand.
You mean the same Katara who looked actually sad when she saw Azula's breakdown, while Zuko where unsure at best?

Amazing, ATLA fans can come up with any answer except for "she was a villain."
"Azula made her do it." As if Azula would care if Mai was excited or smiling while beating people up. ATLA fans are so ready to call Azula a sociopath for anything but crickets when it's anyone else.
I remember when I said Ursa was a pro FN imperialist because she smiled about Iroh burning down Ba Sing Se and slaughtering thousands. As if she has a gun to her head.
Ty Lee is also a bully and was a villain too.
I need a fic, where FN characters actually blame Azula for anything wrong they did. That would be funny.
I think it's interesting how every Firelord's chamber is a dark room that exudes power, intimidation, and dominance.
But then there's Firelord Zuko's chamber. Bright, vibrant, warm, and open. Rather than raging flames, Zuko's chamber has braziers. It's almost a visual representation of how Zuko understands that fire requires restraint.
It's still looks like that he overcompensates for something else...

"Take from me a life of sorrow. Lift me from a world of pain. Judge me worthy of Your endless pride."
Given that there seems to be Vaatu at the end of the Seven Havens teaser, it is remarkable how committed Avatar Studios is to taking the most hated elements of Legend of Korra and using them again for no good reason.
I respect them for this, because I love Vaatu.
Just how those two fanfic writers, who wrote Korra x Azula where Azula somehow gets thrown into Korra's timeline, do feel now? Because their ship now has more canon material than any other wlw Azula ship, to the point that Korra in game apparently battles Ozai for Azula XD
It wasn't one random conversation with flirting.
Like, what's going on with this two? 😂
Um, are Korra and Azula flirting in fighting game? Wtf was that interaction?

#Please little bird
I love that the modern-day tumblr post equivalent of chain emails only requires me to reblog a relatively pleasant image instead of forward an email to a bunch of my friends and family members to quell my raging anxiety.
It’s a win win. I get a bit of hope, you get a cute birb photo
I’m also watching Farscape and I have so many questions:
Like what would happen if Aeryn Sun encountered Minthara somehow in some kind of crossover?
Would they be wives?
Would they try to kill each other?
Would they try to kill each other and then become wives?
Has someone already thought about this and written a fic?
Am I a good enough writer to be the change I want to see in the world?
>Like what would happen if Aeryn Sun encountered Minthara somehow in some kind of crossover?
They would give birth to Morrigan, I'm afraid.
Ahaha so certain writer likes NATLA. The same one people would like to write Azula's redemption arc.
Huh huh
I'll still take comic series over him.
Focused Azula listens to some pretentious prog-metal and classics.
But this Fire Lord one, I just know there's Rammstein starts paying in her head, it even reads in her movement.
I mean, Leliana has a point
