Alright. We just got word that it's safe to step out of our Dooms Day Bunker because those Mayans were rubbish and the world did not end. Absolutely thrilled.

So what did we miss over the past few months? Apparently there's been UFO sightings around Sri Lanka, downpours of red/green/yellow rain (we have a theory about the yellow rain, but we digress), also fish falling from the skies (because manna is so 1300 BC), among other things. Surely the sign of the times? The end is nigh? This prompted us to fortify the bunker with an extra steel door. Just in case. 

But most of all we missed some great typos and other oddities. We'd like to thank each and everyone of you who continued to send us photos (and food) and checked regularly during our absence. Thank you and happy new year! 

Oh, one more thing - we are back!

We've got some good ones from the Colombo International Book Fair 2012, which ended on Wednesday. All the more reason why we need more of these (typos, not book fairs).

At TypoInColombo we believe in being current and first with the news (usually, that means about two months behind the times). So trying to turn a new leaf, we decided that it was only apt to feature a typo related to tomorrow's provincial council elections. 

Elections in Sri Lanka typically involve, as we say in this blessed island, a song and dance. But 'ballet boxes?' This has got us doing pirouettes all day.
