upon reflection my favourite type of scifi-fantasy seems to fall quite squarely into an intersection between 'what if i went from perpetuating the fascist (space) empire in some way to attempting to destroy the fascist space empire and everything it stands for', 'Gratuitous Political Intrigue', and 'An In-Depth Exploration Of Individual Personhood - What Are The Limits Of The Self Before It Stops Being You, Anyway? What Happens When You Become Part Of An Amalgam? What Happens When It Stops And You Still Remain? If You Were You Before You Were Changed And Then That Change Was Taken From You, Are You Still You Now That You've Lost Part Of Yourself That Was Never You To Begin With?'. and i think thats beautiful and definitely doesnt reflect anything about me
