Stoked to be back alongside Andrew Joustra for some more Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles adventures! This time the Turtles are out to score some waves and nothing could possibly go wrong with that right? 😬🦈

Rise Donatello— Absolutely horrible liar. [100% FAILURE]

12 D— Kind of bad. Obvious tells. Maybe talks loud about it alone in his lab to Tim. But can. [87% FAILURE]

03 Don— Sweet, quiet about it. He decides to lie and you cannot tell til it’s too late. You probably never even got a chance to ASK. [100% SUCCESS]

87 Donatello— Really good. Also a dramatic actor. This guy’s holding a small object in his hands and convincing you it’s a bomb and he’s NOT HESITATING. And the worst part. There’s a genuine chance it is.

Cause that’s actually the WORST incident of his lying— and note it’s with his brothers. Cause this joke is based off “The Big Cufflink Caper!”. Where Donatello holds up one of the cufflinks with a ruby that’ll EXPLODE— or a DUD. Gives a dramatic spill. Tosses it in a Vat for Shredder to grab.

AND GUESS WHICH ONE IT WAS.

The other time he lied was “Night of the Dark Turtle”. Where Donatello hit his head— became Batman— and nearly killed the Shredder. Well you see, there was a subplot where an army of Triceratons were invading. And after came back to his senses he procedure to convince the entire army he was a ruler of dinosaurs with the ability to shoot lasers, and convinced the army to flee. IN THE SAME EPISODE.

Oh— and also in “What’s Michelangelo Good For”, a mad scientist was combining and experimenting on animals. And had kidnapped the turtles. So Donatello had to pretend to still be bound to the table after freeing his wrists to wait for a good opportunity. And when Michelangelo busts in, he then proceeds to deliver one of my FAVORITE lines ever.

Michelangelo: “Tell that man what he's won, Donatello."

[Donatello hops up, free of his bindings.]

Donatello "Right, Mike. An all-expense paid trip to the penitentiary of your choice for a full twenty years or two-hundred forty months, whichever comes sooner."

Honestly this kid should be in theatre he's a natural. I most recently watched the Badd Time episode and it tickles me how nervous and embarrassed he is every time he's confronted by one of the others.

Its so fun that to an enemy, Donatello can put on the best show, he's in his element! He's prideful tho, if he's getting to show off, he's a smooth operator. In Badd Time he can't stand the thought of admitting he was tricked *and* lost the turtle van.

leonardo is an avid reader and loves the three musketeers

all of them enjoy gaming, but leonardo has beaten every game at the arcade and is ridiculously competitive.

also since leonardo has beaten every game at the arcade and we know there’s math games there bc donatello said he likes them, either leonardo is good at math or he’s just a really good guesser

donatello has a college degree under the name “miss donna tello”

raphael enjoys creating disguises and is the most stylish of the turtles when it comes to their clothing.

raphael seems to have an interest in pirates

donatello has model planes in his room

leonardo is allergic to ragweed

raphael dislikes the supernatural, meanwhile donatello refuses to believe it exists despite seeing multiple ghosts in person.

michelangelo has perfect pitch

donatello cries at happy endings

donatello loves the noir genre/aesthetic, and likes to narrate what he’s doing like he’s in a noir film

the turtles were mutated straight into teenagers, and it’s implied several times they remember their lives before they were mutated, including their turtle family members. leonardo has drawings of his turtle relatives on his bedroom wall.

donatello has a kill count of 2 (from what i remember)
