headcanon that donnie's lab and bedroom used to not be separate/existed in the same room but they ended up having to be split into two because it was doing irreparable damage to his psyche and sleep schedule. and he absolutely Hates that this ended up happening and is still mad about it. for years they catch him trying to sneak beds or sleeping bags into his lab and have to wag their fingers at him. there was a whole family wide argument about whether or not he could bring a mini-fridge in there and they compromised on letting him have it so long as mikey is allowed to routinely check that he's only putting water bottles in there. he has to Eat Meals With The Family
