It started with a simple hike down the path that Damien began to know all too well, it was the one from his first date with Hux. “So what exactly are we doing here?” he raised a brow suspiciously.

“I just thought i’d plan something for a change, you’d finally get to relax.” Huxley’s smile shined brighter than the sun. Damien just smiled back calmly and tried to act like he wasn’t so nervous.

The date went on, a cute little picnic in the spot that they first kissed, with gentle music playing. Damien would be lying if he said he wasn’t a little impressed that Hux planned something so romantic.

“Damien..” Huxley’s voice starts and trails off and it snaps Damien’s out of his prior thoughts and he meets Huxley’s eyes.

Huxley who is now on one knee. “Holy shit.” Damien mumbled softly.

“When I asked my moms years ago how to know when someone was the one, they just gave me a plain answer of “you’ll know.” I always thought that was kinda.. not helpful.” Hux chuckles softly and gently wipes the tears starting in his own eyes. “I never thought they’d be right, but Dames, I do know. It’s always been you. I-i’m not the best and saying these little speeches but.. I know you’re the one i want for the rest of my life. Will you marry me?”

Damien’s never smiled so big that when Huxley told the group about it, they almost didn’t believe him. “Yes, a thousand times yes!” He practically tackled Huxley and kissed him deeply.

“I’d love to marry you.”

His first girlfriend was in high-school, she was sweet and his mother's loved her, and he thought he did too but it never stuck. She was kind and he loved being around her, but he didnt love her, and by the time he realized it was a little to late.

Then there was Xavier. Xavier was different, the feeling was different entirely. It wasn't a simple school yard crush, or feelings mixed up, he liked Xavier alot. They just clicked and meshed so well. They were perfect compliments in so many ways, but Xavier never showed any interest in the same way he did; and hux was fine with that. Friends or lovers, that didnt matter as long as they were close.

I also feel like tumblr is the most active platform for this fanbase and within the last couple months it feels like all of the good blogs are just whittling away and being replaced by David stans who are clearly 11. Once again this isn’t me trying to hate on David, it’s just weird that people don’t interact with other parts of Redacted.

Overall I just kinda want some reassurance that there are still active people in this fanbase who enjoy all of Redacted and aren’t leaving any time soon. I don’t wanna be one of the last fans left, I love Redacted too much :,)
