Please help a girl keep with her studies
Hey, so I never thought I would be doing this, but I really need your help.
I need around $1500$ so I can continue with my studies. Just that. I need the money around March 2018. I work, just like my mom and my brother, but the money is not enough and Iâm terrified Iâll have to leave my studies because I canât afford this. Things at work and at my country are not okay, and sometimes we are not even paid for all the hours we spend working. Things are unstable.
My edits are not the best but I improved around this last year and I can make you a gif set or edit of your choice. Iâm willing to do that as a repay for all the help I may get.
I will be forever grateful. I promise Iâm going to work much harder, I promise that all your help wonât be in vain.
Everyone can help, even with a reblog.
Thank you so much. đ

Still chained to my thesis :))))
my bujo is a mess but I love it very very much
Iâve decorated my C25K (Couch To 5 Km) training plan for week 3-9 with some cute tape to make it look less intimidating (I had transcribed the first two weeks on another page). I know itâs actually nothing to be intimidated about, but while I enjoy walking and cycling, running has never been my âthingâ - until now. So, baby steps!

its kinda scary how your whole life depends on how well you do as a teenagerÂ
oh my god No it doesnât donât put this kind of pressure on people?? you can absolutely fuck up in your teen years and continue on to a good life just fine. you can drop out of school, get a GED, still go to college and finish your degree as late as you want. i know people in my school who still havenât graduated and theyâre 26. some older. you can always transfer someplace else, always build yourself up from the ground. after a certain amount of college credits, a lot of schools really donât care about your high school GED or your SAT scores anymore. if you fuck up in your teenage years you are not a failure!! you can ALWAYS re-invent yourself, always start over. there is always a second chance.
Reblogging this for my followers freaking out over art school/college. I dropped out of high school and never thought Iâd get into college as easily as I did. You will be fine!
Fun story my biology professor just told us: Â When he was 23 he was married to his wife and worked two jobs to support them since she was in college: gas station attendant and construction worker. Â He worked these two jobs because that was the only work he could get since he was at the reading level of a third grader. Â
One night he was writing something and his wife noticed he was writing from right to left. Â Since she was studying occupational therapy she realized he had a learning disability and started working with him. Â He slowly began to learn to read, and at 26 got his GED and went to college.
His first year of college he took the lowest level math course he could take, 001. Â Over the years he worked on learning what he needed to, ended up graduating with a biology degree. Â He then went on to get his masters and PhD, graduating at the top of his class. Â He is now an extremely accomplished biologist and professor.
So donât let anyone tell you that youâre future is based on your choices as a teenager.
Seriously. Â Do not believe this. Â You arenât even stuck with your choices you make in your 20s. Â I didnât start working in my current field until just after my 30th birthday. Â It has nothing to do with what I went to school for in my 20s. Â My husband has a political science degree, and heâs a sports journalist.
You are not tied to anything. Â Go. Â Be.
My day job did not exist when I was a teenager. And the idea of trying to be an author was a distant thing on my radar. I thought I was going to be an English teacher. And then I thought I was going to be a music teacher. And then I thought I was going to be a drama teacher.
Also in there: therapist, early childhood educator, then finally: web developerâbecause by then it was an actual thing that existed. I didnât actually figure out what IÂ âwanted to do when I grew upâ until about eight years ago, when I was 36. I tried pursuing writing when I was 30, stopped, then started pursuing it seriously again when I was 40.Â
There is always time to change. And donât let anyone tell you that high school is âthe best time of your lifeâ either, because thatâs bullshit too.
Reblogging for my followers. My high school teachers didnât know what to do with me, and I failed everything but a low photography grade. I thought university wasnât for me, and settled for marrying a mediocre man who spent all day on Warcraft. Then I went to community college. Now Iâm in uni doing a double English and philosophy degree, just back from America. I am also single.
Also important: College is not the only option. Donât let anyone try to tell you it is. If youâre not academically inclined, the trades are an option and they are a good optionâ if the only thing you think youâre good at is make-up do that. There are people who can live comfortably just doing make-up. We have this idea planted in our heads as teenagers (and younger) that not fitting into an academic mould of some sort means youâre failing at life and this is bullshit. Thereâs no reason to feel like youâre âfailing at lifeâ because you donât like school or were never good at it. We need skilled workers in the world, and the thing they donât tell you is all work is skilled work. If itâs work, it takes skill. Yes, this encompasses âserviceâ jobs, it encompasses all jobs. Please donât think that what you do, or what you have an interest in doing is of less value than something that requires a college education. This coming from the college-educated white girl who is a seamstress because itâs what I enjoy. If college isnât going to get you where you want to go, than you donât need to go! Itâs that simple. Take whatever path you need to get to where you are happy and comfortable and fufilled. If youâre doing what you love you are sucessful.
i didnât graduate with my bachelorâs until i was 26 and life took a few turns along the way but now, at 37, i have a job that makes me genuinely happy. and itâs got nothing to do with how well i did in high school.
This! This make me cry⌠Iâm 23 and I really donât know where Iâm going, so reading this kinds of storys makes me feel hope!
I love all this support and inspiring stories, but what I think op was getting at was that our teachers/parents/elders ingrain this idea in us that if we fuck up in our teens, we fuck up everything. So donât ever let adults make you feel less for needing/spending more time to achieve your goals. Youâre still amazing if you get a degree at 24 or 44 or even not at all
4 Tips for Maintaining Productivity After a Long Day
After a long day of classes, I often find myself so drained of energy that all I want to do is crawl into my bed and pass out. Iâm not going to lie, I still fall victim to the urge to do absolutely nothing. In fact, on most days, I start with an okay amount of productivity, which peaks around noon, then falls to near zero after dismissal. This lack of energy and motivation serves as a major barrier to completing the demanding tasks thrown at us. So how are we supposed to accomplish everything? Here are 4 ways you can stay productive when youâre tired:Â
Take care of yourself
At this point, doing more work might seem like the last thing you want to do. Because of this, you should first aim to increase your energy and improve your productive potential. You could try:
Eating a snack. Try to avoid junk food and opt for healthier snacks, such as a sandwich, a smoothie, or some fruit or vegetables. I often eat corn with cheese (Iâm not actually sure if this is healthy but cornâs a vegetable, so).
Taking a nap. Napping requires quite a lot of self-discipline because you donât want to oversleep and end up with less time to do your work. It also depends on the type of person you are as some people become energized by sleeping while others only become more drowsy. I normally sleep in the car on the way home from school, but sometimes Iâm so exhausted that I need an extra 30 minutes of sleep.
Taking a shower to relax your body and mind. Right after I get home from school, I usually take a hot shower as it releases tension, but other people prefer to take a cold one to make them more alert. Afterwards, put on some fresh, comfortable clothes and get to work!
Set small, realistic goals for the day
Nobody likes looking at an overwhelming to-do list especially when they have almost no motivation to do them. Instead of demanding too much of yourself, the first step to completing your tasks is to think, âHow hard am I capable of working?â Here are some things you could consider:
How many things you can do for the day. Do you think youâll be able to finish three worksheets and study for the test tomorrow? Or would it be wiser to only study for the test and complete the worksheets the next morning?
How much time you can spend studying or working. Can you sustain your attention for an hour? Or would you lose focus after 20 minutes and require a short break? What time do you plan on sleeping? I usually study and do homework for two hours straight, but if Iâm especially tired, I would use the 25 to 5 pomodoro method.
Set a quit time, a time when you stop doing work, stop being busy, and rest. Your brain will think that itâs working towards a sort of reward and as a result, you become more productive. My âquit timeâ varies with the amount of workload I have for that day, but itâs usually around 15 to 30 minutes before I go to sleep.
Based on these three things, you should be able to create a rough schedule of your evening. As your evening becomes more organized and adjusted to your mental/physical state, youâll be able to be as productive as possible.
Carrots and Sticks
Alright, hereâs something a lot of people are still confused about. Should I punish myself for not completing tasks, or reward myself after completing them? In most cases, it depends on the type of person you are, but I think after a tiring day, you wouldnât want to risk harming your mental and physical health even more. I would choose to reward myself, but be mindful not to overdo it, e.g. choosing to read a chapter of a book could result in reading for an hour and falling behind on tasks. Iâd suggest doing something that takes a short amount of time, or can be broken up into smaller chunks (i.e. no TV episodes unless you have a lot of spare time after youâve finished everything).
Pay attention to your internal dialogue
This is something Iâve only found out recently but helps a lot. The way we talk to ourselves, be it out loud or in our heads, impacts our outlook and attitude. If we speak negatively to ourselves, we wonât get anything done because we view our tasks as chores. Therefore, we should always aim to manipulate the negative thoughts into more positive ones so that we may have a more enthusiastic outlook towards the things we have to do. Instead of preparing yourself for hell, tell yourself that this work will get you to heaven (does that make sense?).
Being productive is hard enough, but even more so when you have no energy. Hopefully these techniques will help you stay on top of all of your work even when youâre feeling down. If you have any other amazing tips for staying productive, feel free to add them!

Finished up the semester today and it feels good to relax. Iâve worked harder this semester than I have the past two years and it feels great to finish up a rough couple months of school with work that Iâm proud of. Now for a break and refreshing my creative mind before next semester.
