TW: Gender Dysphoria Since I was little I never felt like I was a girl... fully. My assigned sex is female, but I never felt like I was female. I often feel male-ish, I get dysphoric about having breasts, and I wish to remove them. I am comfy with my sex organs though? I shave my head and wear mostly menâs clothing, but I feel safe being she/her... but I wouldnât mind being called they/them or he/his either?? I just am so confused and idk I feel lost idk if there is a word for how I feel.
Iâm not a gender therapist, obviously. Therefore everything I say is just my simple opinion on the few information I got and pretty far from any kind of diagnosis.I wonât really get into the âfeelingâ male/female thing, since itâs might able to give a few hints about ones gender identity, but doesnât really mean anything when it comes to actual gender dysphoria. That being said a lot of FtMs donât experience bottom dysphoria or only start to experience it later in life, since most focuss what is right in front of them, even if they wear clothes (of course itâs not all about appereance, just because something isnât visible to those around you doesnât mean you canât feel dysphoric about it, but I think you get what Iâm trying to say). Also, even if more uncommon, some FtMs arenât too uncomfortable with female pronouns or a female name because they somehow manage to deattache themselves from it.On the other hand you could also be FtN since you only experience really specific dysphoria and seem to be okay with being not seen as a man by society.Iâd really recommend going to a specialized therapist to talk about your experiences with gender dysphoria and to keep an eye on how you experience dysphoria and what you want to be seen as by society, also later in life. I can try to find more helpful sources and attach them to this post.
Can you all stop making up sexual orientations that donât even classify as such? Itâs meant to describe who youâre attracted to based on gender. Not other preferences, how much or little, how often, how well you know the person. Those are all preferences completely separate from sexual orientation. Same gender, other gender, both genders, or none? Yes, makes sense, is aligned with the definition of a sexual orientation. âGray-aceâ, âdemiâ? No, thereâs either no attraction or some attraction, and if itâs there at all, youâre not ace. Stop pretending sexual orientation means something else than the literal definition 2k19.
Allos donât get a say on whoâs ace or not. Also, why are you so desperately interested in deciding who gets to call themselves ace or not? Gray-aces and demisexuals are part of the ace community and thatâs something the ace community agreed on. Itâs an intracommunity issue and it has literally nothing to do with you.Â
Stay in your own lane.Â
Who says Iâm allo? My opinion is that âgray-aceâ and âdemiâ are completely nonsensical terms and Iâm gonna state that opinion all I want.
No weâre not. Youâre wrong and need to shut up about things that donât involve you. Because you are not asexual and it shows.
Anyway all ace-spec people are equally welcome in the ace community because weâre not bigots.
âIt showsâ? Sounds like you have some form of stereotype about ace people. You know nothing about me, I could very well be ace.
Nah, my stance is still that âdemiâ and âgray-aceâ are non-existent and donât match up with the definition of sexual orientation at all.
Iâm gray-ace. Iâm real. And Iâm part of the ace community. Go shove a cactus up your ass. :)Â
Of course youâre real, you donât stop existing just because you use a nonsensical label, thatâs obvious. Weird for the ace community to accept people who arenât ace.
No thanks, Iâll pass. Whatâs with the hostile attitude?
Hey! Iâm an asexual person and I wanted to share my opinion on this because I have serious issues with 1st @cazzounteschios viewpoint on âallosexualsâ getting involved in discoure which involves the ace community and 2nd the whole âace-spectrumâ thing in general. So, I will start with my first issue since itâs p easy to verbalize: Everyone is allowed to have an opinion on everything and everyone is allowed to express said opinion. It doesnât matter if @nutritiouss is âallosexualâ or not, if he wants to share his opinion he has every right to do so. I also consider his post about the difference between sexual orientation and sexual preference/ones own sex drive as absolutely true. That being said, âdemisexualityâ and âgrey-asexualityâ donât qualify as sexual orientations. There is no ace-spectrum, and Iâm here to describe why. Sexuality in general isnât a spectrum. There is no homo-spectrum, no hetero-spectrum and no bi-spectrum, Then why should there be an ace-spectrum? Because itâs âmore difficultâ than the other three sexualities? Hell no. People want an ace-spectrum because they are into microlabeling. Did you ever notice how many MOGAI microlabels describe bisexuality? Any time something doesnât seem to be all black and white, we tend to look more on our preferences than on our actual orientation. Being attracted to male and masculine presenting people - like GNC women - doesnât make you marsian or whatever this mogai identity was called, youâre still bisexual because at the core you are into men and women. For asexuality itâs the same. It doesnât matter if youâre only sexually attracted to close friends (demisexuality) or if youâre sexually attracted to someone pretty rarely in general (grey-asexuality). As soon as you experience sexual attraction, no matter the circumstances, youâre not asexual. Yes you can have extremly high standards or whatever. But asexuality isnât about having high standards. Itâs about no matter how perfect the person in front of them might be, an asexual person wonât be sexually attracted to them (or anyone else under any circumstances). The âace-spectrumâ exists because of our weird need to over-specify everything. All those MOGAI-identities describe the same four sexualities and the same three/four gender or symptoms of mental illness and also personal preferences in general. In the end Iâd love to say that Iâd be 100% fine with people using microlabels to describe their own preferences if they were aware of the fact that those are preferences and not real sexualities/genders but I have to admit that this really bothers me. Iâm an asexual person and my issues are extremly different from people who simply prefer their sexual partners comming from a close friend group or their sexual partners being attracted to them first or whatevers. They still experience sexual attraction and therefore shouldnât call themselves asexual or make up an âace-spectrumâ to be âclose enoughâ to asexuality.
I'm a lesbian, and as far as I know the term nonbinary lesbian refers to women-aligned nonbinary people (such as demigirls) who are exclusively attracted to women and women-aligned nonbinary people
So are you saying that ânonbinary lesbianâ got another definition than âlesbianâ on itâs own? If so, why arenât they just using a new term (like trixic for example)?
stop fucking speaking over actual nonbinary people. stop letting binary people speak over us. our identities are too fucking complicated for your dumbass to comprehend clearly so just shut up and stay in your fucking lane
Hey there! Thanks for sharing your opinion :) Iâd appreciate less swearing because itâs hard to have a civil debate otherwise.Anyways, correct me if Iâm wrong but are you saying that someone who isnât nonbinary (assuming that Iâm not a nonbinary transperson myself) isnât allowed to speak about nonbinary issues? Wouldnât this also mean that nonbinary transpeople arenât allowed to speak about the issues of binary transpeople? That men arenât allowed to adress problems that especially women face? Should we all just âstay in [our] fucking laneâ and pretend like the issues of other groups 1st donât matter to us and 2nd donât affect us as well? Thatâs not how society works. Everyone is allowed to have an opinion on anything. That doesnât mean that you have to like their opinion or that their opinion isnât harmful or whatever, it just means that they are allowed to have a opinion. Also I donât really see how these things are complicated. If you want to educate me more on this topic, go ahead my ask is always open! But as far as I can see it, nonbinary transpeople are those who experience atypical dysphoria. Their identity isnât binary, so them using binary terms to describe themselves would 1st invalidate their own identity as nonbinary and 2nd would water down the meaning of the (strictly) gendered binary terms they want to use.

I think that the use of nonbinary in terms of being a lesbian waters down what we actually are. Lesbians are women, but if nonbinary people can also be lesbians then that sends the message to people that lesbians are not fully women. My attraction to women has nothing with me not being the fully gender that I am, and I am attracted to women, not people that aren't women. Lesbians are women, and nonbinary people aren't women. I'd say more, but there's a character limit lol
Thank you for your take on it!Iâm not a lesbian and while I hate bringing identity into discourse as an argument I think itâs quite important to read a lesbians opinion on this topic. If you feel the need to add more just reblog with your extended answer, but please donât feel pressured to do so!@soundchecked I also think this is interesting to you too. Iâd love to hear your opinion :)
I agree, it also feeds into other stereotypes that effect lesbians. The idea that we are wanna be men or âbrokenâ because we donât traditionally connect to womanhood and what not.

Gay/Lesbian Nonbinary Transpeople (My Take On It)
I know this topic isnât the main focus of gender/sexuality related tumblr discourse at the moment but this is something I wanted to talk about for quite some time now and I finally found the time to do so.
Before I actually share my opinion, I think itâs important to get some definitions straight:
+ A nonbinary transperson is someone who experiences atypical dysphoria and therefore identifies neither as man nor as woman
I know discussions about gay cispeople and their attraction towards transpeople of their own gender are a pretty hot take at the moment and also Iâm aware that not everyone believes nonbinary transpeople exist, but please letâs push that aside for a minute and just focuss on the problem that occurs with calling nonbinary transpeople gay or lesbian.
For nonbinary transpeople - as well as for binary transpeople and everyone else - itâs pretty important to know that their gender identity gets respected. âGayâ and âLesbianâ are binary terms. So I ask you: how can binary terms validate the identity of nonbinary people? My biggest issue is the term ânonbinary lesbianâ. While I donât want to dig too deep into this topic, I have to mention that I consider this term especially harmful, to lesbians as well as to nonbinary transgender people. I see ânonbinary lesbianâ becoming an equivalent to âbutchâ and therefore pretending (gay) gender-nonconforming women shoudnât even be considered women anymore. While âlesbianâ strictly refers to women who are exclusively attracted to other women, âgayâ - even if mostly used for homosexual men - can be used for both binary genders.
So could you say gay nonbinary transpeople - using it only for those individuals who are nonbinary and are attracted to other nonbinary transpeople exclusively - are a real thing? In my opinion: No. No matter how hard you try, erasing the fact that nonbinary transpeople are either assigned male or female at birth wonât work. There is no such thing as a generally nonbinary body. If youâre gay you might have a certain preference for this or that type of men, but you will be attracted to a male body, including male genitals. Same goes for lesbians with being attracted to female bodies and female genitals. Yes some people are able to deal with genitals of the opposite sex if dating a transperson of their own gender, but thatâs not the norm. But again, I ask you: what does exclusive attraction to nonbinary transpeople look like, if there is nothing to break a nonbinary body down to in the first place. You can rage about the fact that itâs ânot all about the body/genitaliaâ and youâre right with that. But itâs still a huge thing when it comes to our sexuality. We canât just ignore our bodies and our preferences when it comes to other peoples genitalia just because someone decides itâs âtransphobicâ or whatever.
Letâs try to get back on track. The atypical dysporia of nonbinary transpeople leads to them wishing for a physical appereance that doesnât fit the binary. They might want to have no sexual characteristics at all, they might want all of them at once, they might wish to have an unusual combination in between both extremes - depending on their certain kind of dysphoria. Because there are so many different possibilities, you canât pin it down to being exclusively attracted to nonbinary transpeople.
But what if youâre nonbinary and exclusively attracted to men/women? Does it make you straight no matter what? No, I donât think so either. Straight is also a binary term, and to use it for nonbinary individuals is about as wrong as calling them gay.
So, which terms did tumblr/people in general come up with describing the sexual orientations of nonbinary transpeople?
Trixic instead of Lesbian: While some people mention that trixic doesnât has to be used to describe nonbinary transpeople who are exclusively attracted to women itâs generally used as a term for those who are nblw only. Toric instead of Gay: As well as trixic, some state itâs not an exclusive term, but itâs mostly used as such and describes those who are nblm only. Orbisian: Another term for trixic Quadrisian: Another term for toric Feminamoric: Another term for trixic, especially those who are romantically attracted to women exclusively Viramoric: Another term for toric, especially those who are attracted to men exclusively
I also found the terms âgaiâ and âstraytâ, defined as âexperiencing their attraction as gay/straight but in a nonbinary wayâ. Both terms to me donât really make sense, since as mentioned above, nonbinary transpeople canât really be gay in a first place. As for straight/strayt I could somewhat get myself to accept this term but it wouldnât be really telling because a straight nonbinary person could either be:
nblw (trixic)
nblm (toric)
and maybe also nblm + nblw (I personally would prefer not to use âstraytâ to describe this kind of people since theyâre bisexual in my opinion but then again I doubt that Iâd use âstraightâ in the first place, so i wonât dig into this one too deep either)
Therefore Iâd ignore both terms all together because itâd lead to too much confusion.
But yes, this is my take on gay/lesbian nonbinary transpeople. I know itâs far from perfect, I surely made lots of grammar mistakes and Iâm aware that this isnât the best thing anyone came ever up with related to this topic, but I really wanted to share my opinion to find out more about yours and to learn from this because itâs saver for someone like me (a newbie to discourse + not a native speaker of the english language) to start with smaller topics before I jump right into the extremly heated up discourses. So thanks four reading and I look foward to hear everyones opinions on this topic!
hey maybe donât use @soundcheckedâs flag and another artistâs flag (i donât recognise it, idk who the artist is) without credit just to write a long post about how you donât understand nb identities and instead of just asking them you decide that actually youâre gonna just ramble on about how they canât exist because you donât understand them lmao.
edit nvm thats not my flag but its @/nbsapphics flag but also
like. the definitions of terms have evolved and nb people can identify however and basising being lesbian/gay on being binary attracted to same binary erases so many gay and lesbian culture where most of us are nb; even back in early 1900s and even before that
Iâve already admitted my mistake and Iâm sorry. (But Iâm confused I thought you made the gay nonbinary flag? Because I took the nonbinary lesbian flag from @nbsapphics. Or are both of them your blogs?) I never heard of the lesbian term having evolved tho. Could you tell me more about it/explain me what âlesbianâ in its core means according to you?
- Actually Iâd love to hear anyones answer to this question, so feel free to send an ask or shoot me a message or something!

transinformed introduction post
Hey edgelords! It is I, another filthy discourse blog. This might doesnât sound like the best start for an intro-post ever, especially since I prever civil debates, but whom am I kidding, weâre just some randoms on the internet arguing about stuff.
Anyways, my name is Josha. Iâm a nineteen year old from Germany (which is the reason why I 1st tend to fuck up grammar and 2nd will sometimes focuss on certain issues of LGBT+ people in Germany in particular). I got diagnosed with F64.0 in October and started HRT on the 20.10.18. I go by they/them pronouns and prefer not to state my sex, gender or romantic orientation at the moment.
Now the time has come to talk about the interesting things. What are my personal opinions and which discourses will I take part in?
 Tucute/Transmed
I believe that you need dysphoria (no matter if social or body dysphoria or how strong this dysphoria might be) to be transgender which means Iâm a transmedicalist. This topic will most likely be a huge part of my blog, since it really affects me personally an I think about it a lot. To shut down some prejudices against transmedicalists right here. I have no problem with GNC (trans)people and I think being GNC actually helps lots of transpeople, especially in the beginning of their transition. I also donât say that you need to hate yourself to be trans. Dysphoria isnât self-hatred, itâs a disconnect between your gender identity and your physical sex. Also I believe that atypical dysphoria, and therefore nonbinary transpeople are a real thing. But â and this is important â I donât believe that it is as common as it seems at the moment. Which leads me to the second point.
 Nonbinary Transpeople
As said I, personally am sure that nonbinary transpeople exist. But at the same time I think that the nonbinary trans-community suffers from more transtrenders than the binary trans-community. Simply because itâs easier to call yourself nonbinary and be validated by anyone around you even if you make no attempt whatsoever to change your appereance than it is to pretend to be a binary transperson. I donât want to go too much into detail because I want to make an own post about this topic in the future.
 Asexuality
This one might be a tough one. Not only am I asexual myself, I also havenât decided if Iâm an exclusionist or inclusionist. I have seen good (and bad) arguments on both sides, so I will most likely will need some time to figure this thing out for myself before I actively participate in discourse. But if an especially dumb post crosses my mind, I will share my opinion on it anyways.
 MOGAI
Iâm extremely against the microlabels which MOGAI offers (young) people to turn their personality into genders, their preferences into romantic attractions and their mental illnesses into sexual orientations. I strongly believe that MOGAI harms those who try to figure themselves out and also that itâs a threat to the LGBT+ community.
 Feminism
Yes, I know this will might surprise you but I donât identify as a feminist (yet). I absolutely believe that everyone should be treated equally, regardless of their gender identity, sex, orientation, skin color, ancestry, religious believes etc. The reason why I donât call myself a feminist, is that I donât know enough about feminism and that I refuse to simply adapt a label just because people expect me to.
Opinions I have, unrelated to any discourse I take part in.
Pedophilia is a paraphilia and should be treated as such. I refuse to hate anyone who is aware of their mental illness and seeks help by a therapist to control their urges and who never acts out their sick fantasies (yes, not acting out also includes not watching pornography which includes children). Whoever I have no sympathy for those who donât consider therapy, who already abused a child/are âpro-contactâ or who support pedophilia by turning those who have it into a community, pretending their desires would be in any way morally acceptable. Same goes for zoophilia and necrophilia.
There is (most likely) no god. Iâm an atheist, sometimes even anti-theistic leaning, but Iâm pretty civil about it. I have no problem with moderate religious people, but I have a string dislike against religion in general.
Self-diagnosis is harmful and wrong. Itâs okay to tell your therapist âMy symptoms are x, y and z and therefore I think I got wâ but simply putting ten mental disorders, of which three are personality disorders and on eis DID into your tumblr-bio just because you made an online test and like playing pretend doesnât make you valid. In fact it harms you as well as those, who really suffer from said disorders. I will most likely write about this in the future, but not as part of some active discourse.
If you got any questions about my believes or want to share yours, please talk to me! At the moment Iâm especially interested in other peopleâs opinions when it comes to:      Tucutes (Yes this also means that I want tucutes to explain their opinions to me so I understand better where theyâre comming from)      Your experiences with MOGAI (What did you identify as/what do you identify know, did MOGAI help you to figure yourself out)      Feminism (Why do/donât you identify as a feminist, which believes do you hold etc. Iâd especially love interactions with different types of feminists, like libfrems, radfems and even TERFs)
If you want to share your opinion on something else (I talk about on here) feel free to also shoot me a message.
