Bar, owner, Danny, who is so committed to his space theme to absolutely obsessive levels that everyone in Gotham
Thinks he’s a rogue because only rogues are that obsessed with one thing
Or
Danny is just happy that his bar is an absolute hit yeah it seems to be a bunch of Criminals, but you know what as long as they enjoy the space theme he doesn’t mind
As long as they don’t do anything truly evil in his bar, he’s fine with it
Or or
Danny’s obsession is actually space and then being helpful it is not protection
Kid Flash: I'm gonna take that as a "go on". Um you remember Phantom, right?
Batman: The unknown ghost-snake creature you keep sneaking into the Watchtower to stargaze? Yes I remember.
Kid Flash: Right, so can he use Mount Justice's sauna?
Batman: Why?
Kid Flash: Okay, I'm only telling you because he said I could but, Phantom has a second form thats a lot less ghost than how you've seen him, and he recently shed, but some of it is stuck, like really bad. His nest doesn't have enough humidity as he needs, and I tried to help pull it off but I just ended up hurting him and- *takes a deep breath* please?
Batman: He will finally sit down with me, and I can expand my file on him.
Kid Flash: Fine but no doctors, or scientists, including therapists, and absolutely no hair, skin, scale, or saliva samples.
Batman: Fine, that is agreeable.
Kid Flash: Thanks. I was worried.
Batman, softening slightly: Let me know when he wants to talk.
Danny: *minding his buisness in the mall, and sipping on a cup of ectoplasm*
M'ari, walks up to him curiously: What are you drinking?
Danny, taken off gaurd by the random child: Uhh...
M'ari: Because it kinda looks like Uncle Jason's blood. Are you a vampire?
Danny: Yes.
M'ari: Oh. Did you get permission to drink that blood? If not that means you're a bad guy.
Danny: I got permission, only weird fruitloops don't get permission.
M'ari, nods seriously: That's good, cause then I'd have had to beat you up. And I like your star hoodie, and I wouldn't want to accidentally ruin it.
Danny: You a hero then?
M'ari: No, Daddy and Mommy are heros though, and that means I'll be a hero one day too.
Danny: Got your whole life figured out huh kid?
M'ari: *proudly nods*
Danny: So where are-
M'ari: Is your skin sparkly because you're a vampire?
Danny: Sparkly?
M'ari: Yeah! It looks like snow when its in the morning and its all glittery.
Danny, snorts: No thats because I have use ice powers.
M'ari: Really?!
Danny: *crouches down and puts his drink down. He holds out his palm, and it starts glowing blue before a glittering blue ice sculpture in the shape if a star materializes in his hand, followed by small ice droplets that turned it into a necklace.*
M'ari: Pretty!
Danny: Tell ya what, you tell me how to contact your parents to come get you, and you can have it.
M'ari: I know Daddy's phone number!
Danny: That'll work.
*one phone call with a panicked father later*
Dick: M'ari!
M'ari: Hi Daddy! Look the Mall Vampire made me a necklace! Hey will it melt?
Danny: Not unless I will it to kid.
Dick: You scared the stars out of me Princess! I turned around and you were just gone! You can't do that!
M'ari: But I was bored, and you walk away from Uncle Tim when you're bored.
Dick: Ah well thats different-
Danny: *snorts but tries to cover it by taking a sip of his drink*
Dick: Thank you for holding her attention long enough to contact me.
M'ari: The Mall Vampire is cool! He knows more about the stars and planets than Mommy does.
Dick: Mall Vampire?
Danny: *smiles at him, showing off his sharper canines*
Dick, pales: Right! Well Granpa is waiting for us M'ari! Thanks for the help sir, goodbye.
M'ari: By Mr. Mall Vampire. *waves excitedly over Dick's back*
Danny: *lazily waves back*
Bonus
???: Sorry I'm late I was- why do you have that look on your face?
Danny: What look?
???: The look that means "I know something others don't know and its going to be hilarious".
Danny: Its nothing bad, just had an interesting conversation with a really eccentric kid is all. It was funny, in hindsight.
???: Uhuh, sure. *squints suspiciously at him*
Danny: Anyway, forget about that, let's get the supplies I need before we go to dinner.
*3 Hours Later*
Tim: Why is M'ari running around talking about a Mall Vampire?
Kori: Dick lost her in the mall earlier today, and the person who found her was humoring her questions.
Tim: And Dick is freaking out because...?
Kori, huffing: The man was "extremely pale with glittery skin and dark hair" and he just happened to have sharp teeth, so Dick's freaking out about it.
Tim: Seriously?
Kori, fondly: Honestly, that man.
Barbra: Hey guys, sorry for arrivaving late, it took a while to find the right paint-
M'ari, squeals: Mall Vampire!
Danny: Hey kid.
Barbra: What?
Danny: This is the eccentric kid I told you about.
Barbra: Oh. Well uh, this is Danny, the cousin I told you abour. He's only in Gotham for a few months for a few art shows hes particpating in, so he's going to be staying with me.
Dick, paling: What?
Danny: Sorry for any inconvenience I might cause, but I look forward to getting to know you all. *smiles 'innocently', showing off his sharp teeth once more*
Danny finally gives up on Amity. Jazz is in College. Tucker and Sam were moved away after their respective possessions and they hadn't gotten in contact since.
Danny completely alters his phantom appearance with the ghost shifting he finally mastered, removing the full coverage mask from his hasmat suit and creating a proper super suit.
Danny travels, helping whoever he comes across and portaling shades, ghosts, demons, etc, to their proper dimensions as harmlessly as they let him.
Now he's staring at a trio that caught him pulling a bunch of caged kids he ran across to safety, led there by a shade of a child.

So, I recognize that I would have an unusual reaction to my hypothetical partner hypothetically cheating on me- which is bad and wrong and I'm 100% on the side of the person who's been cheated on, I just wouldn't care that much if it happened to me. And, honestly, I would love to read more characters react like I would.
...
Kon looked up from where he'd bowed his head, confused by the lack of reaction. Danny just stood there for a moment, an awkward look on his face before Kon tried again, "really, I'm so sorry man, it was a heat of the moment thing, and I feel so bad about it. I'd understand if you don't want me around you two anymore, though it'd be a bit difficult with hero work- that's whatever, I can- I can do whatever you want me to."
"So, was that a no on a Zesti?" Danny, nonsensically, seemed to gloss over Kon's confession, leaning his head down into the fridge, "I think we have some Sprite in here, from when I was sick last. Um, do you drink milk? I could also make some tea? Coffee? Or are you boring and just want to drink water?"
Kon blinked several times, before his mouth opened of its own volition, "did you not hear me? Tim cheated on you with me."
"Okay?" Danny shrugged, pulling out his own can of Zesti. "Was he bad in bed or something? Is this a formal complaint? If that's the case, you can't really put any blame on me, he came like that. Blame his exes."
"No, he wasn't bad or anything, but-"
"So, what's the issue?" Danny tilted his head at Kon.
"Tim cheated on you. With me." Kon felt like he was spelling out something to a child.
"Okay, and?"
"... I don't understand. Tim already said this wasn't an open relationship; he's in his Nest right now, beating himself up over letting it happen. You should be, like, throwing things at me and hitting me or something." Kon made a helpless motion at nothing, confused by the lack of reaction from his best friend's partner. (Did he have the right to call Tim his best friend when he'd allowed them to potentially ruin Tim's relationship? Danny was so good for Tim, and Kon may have become the reason the two would break up!)
Danny paused for a moment, before gently asking, "would you like me to throw things and hit you?"
"Not really? But I came in here expecting you to do that and more so like?" Kon felt lost. What was even happening here?
"Okay..." Danny took a sip of his Zesti, a thoughtful look on his face. "Okay, I think I have a solution then." Danny set the can down on the island of his kitchen, before walking up to Kon and reaching up to move Kon's head. Kon went along with Danny's motions, desperate to make things right, and suddenly had soft lips against his. "There, it can't be cheating if you're part of our relationship, now, can it?" Kon blinked blankly at the proposed logic, staying in position since Danny still had his fingers in Kon's hair. "Now, did you want something to drink?"
Robin: Come on! It'll be fine! *tries to grab him*
Phantom: I don't want to!
Batman: *walks into the cave*
Phantom: *bolts towards Batman and hides behind him*
Robin: Wha- You can't hide behind Batman! That's not fair!
Phantom: *sticks his tongue out*
Batman: What is this about?
Robin, groaning: I want Phantom to Possess-
Phantom: Overshadow.
Robin: I want Phantom to Overshadow me so I can practice breaking out of it. Its training!
Batman, glancing back at Phantom: Hmn?
Phantom: I don't-I don't like Overshadowing people. It feels-it feel icky.
Robin: Icky? Seriously? What are you, five?
Phantom: Five times more respectful than you.
Robin: You-
Batman: Enough. Robin, Phantom already said 'no', hes not comfortable with it. Consent goes both ways, and if I find out you've been bothering him about it I'll bench you and sign you up for Consent and Conmunication Training.
Robin: Ugh okay. Sorry Phantom, I'll drop it. *stalks off with a fake pout*
Phantom, visibly relieved: Thanks. I really, really hate Overshadowing.
Batman: Hmn. *reaches up to ruffle Phantom's hair, pulling a core-rumble(purr) from the boy*
My idea juices are running low so I gotta go to the store and grab more, but I want to see Danny's lair being like a dragon's cave and lair/hoard. Big massive ice cave filled with treasures and gems and his things and space stuff like astrology maps and space things, with the ceiling lit by small stars (taken from a different universe that is much smaller than so they are real stars, just small in comparison. Some have planets or something)
Obviously because Danny can know no peace, his lair is discovered or otherwise made known and investigated or just somehow the heroes end up in his big cave and Danny's lil Bebe Ghost Brain is upsetty about it because he doesn't know them and they're in his space!
Bonus if you want, he actually has big dragon form, or for funny, small baby dragon form.
Oracle: Red Robin, Spoiler, have you reached the coordinates?
Red Robin: ETA 2 Minutes. This part of the cave network is-wtf?

Black Canary: Yeah, I mean hes an adult, but he's closer in age to them, I figured he would be better at understanding them.
Flash: I mean he is childish, but maybe they'll finally listen to someone.
*opens the training room door*
Phantom, snarling: Is that seriously all you've got? Pathetic! Get back up and try again! Saving the day waits for no "hero"!
*Young Justice scattered across the room, all panting heavily, or cradling bruises as they're each paired up with a Phantom duplicate*
Superman, gobsmacked: Phantom what are you doing?!
Flash: Yeah man this looks a little harsh don't you think?
Phantom: They want to be treated like adults, Flash, so I'm treating them like adults. If they want to be treated like adults, then they can train like adults, work like adult, eat like adults, balance their hero work and their civilian work like adults. I said no slacking! Get back up!
Superman, wincing: Still...
Flash: Dude, what did they say to you to piss you off this much? *tries to joke* I need to know so I don't do the same. Seriously, you're scary.
Phantom: *scowls*
Kid Flash, panting: Pl-Please! Can we take a brake? I need some water.
Phantom: 10 minutes. *all his duplicates vanish and Phantom turns and floats out*
*water bottles appear out of nowhere, and all the sidekicks collapse, desperately chugging the water bottles*
Flash: No, seriously, what did you say to him? I've never seen him that upset before.
Artemis, clutching her ribs: K-Kid Flash s-said he didn't get why-why we couldn't be treated as adults and-and do our own work. R-Rob in Said-Said that Phantom was-ss lucky, cause he didn't have a mentor and took-took care of his territory on his own without help. Said-Said it couldn't be that hard since Phantom did it.
Adult Heros -Batman: *winces*
Superman: No wonder Phantom was so upset.
Green Arrow: Yeah, I'd be pissed too if my years of hard work was chalked up to "not that hard".
Flash: *turns and follows after Phantom*
Batman: Hmn.
Robin: *flinches*
Batman: It looks like Phantom still went easy on you. You should thank him for that.
Kid Flash: That was easy?!
Batman: You're still alive aren't you?
Superman: And by the looks of it, he was only brawling, I don't smell the scent of his Ecto-Blasts.
Black Canary: And he gave you water.
Flash: *makes his way to the observation deck*
Phantom: *staring up at the stars with a pained expression*
Flash: *stands next to him as a comfortable silence stretches between tham*
Phantom: The screwed up thing is, I could have had a mentor.
Flash: Yeah?
Phantom: Yeah. But, instead of guiding me, and helping me, and being a support system, he decided he'd rather be a fruitloop. So, he became one of my villains.
Flash: Wow, that sucks. Wait-
Phantom, snorts: Yeah, it does. We're the only two halfas in the world right now, and he decides to be a massive jerk. It sucks, it sucks alot, because back then, I'd have loved to have what these kids have, heck, I'd have loved to just have someone to give me advice without having some greater scheme or alternative motive.
Flash: But?
Phantom, taking a deep breath: But thats not how it worked out for me. It was me, my teenage friends, and my teenaged sister against an alternate dimension, and a corrupt falsified government agency. That's the bitter truth of it, and I won't change that if I maybe could, instead, I just have to make sure those dinguses don't get themselves killed before they're adults.
Flash, gently pats Phantom's shoulder: Awe, don't want them to join you in the realms.
Just Bruce seeing this hero with no previous connections as a hero and being confused when a background check provides an identity, but that identity is squeaky clean, despite it being attached to a vigilante. No arrests, no misdemeanors, no awards in high school for being exceptional - or red marks for being tardy, late, or otherwise getting into weird situations. Batman then takes the background check even higher, looking into the secret identity's parents and grandparents and cousins and the identity just collapses as a fake one at some point.
Gimme Dick seeing a hero mope around when looking for someone to rescue, seeing Phantom just flying around aimlessly when he isn't actively rescuing someone, and being like "that kid needs a hug and a heart-to-heart chat."
Gimme Jason seeing the same thing and seeing it as reluctant heroism, making him assume that Phantom is being threatened or blackmailed into being a hero - which isn't wrong, but Red Hood goes about looking for whoever is pulling the strings in the wrong direction.
Gimme Tim looking at the same background check that B did, independently and without going into the alias' family history, and just going "that's a load of bullshit" without knowing exactly why he thinks it is. But as he observes Phantom and, to use the fic's alias, "Michael," his brain keeps pulling up little facts from the alias' background search and just noting that Phantom/Danny and "Michael" couldn't be more different on paper. So, is this another one of Ra's' schemes to mess with Tim? If that's so, couldn't he have obtained a better actor? So, Red Robin continues to mess with Phantom until he realizes "aw shit, I actually like you as a person, man."
Gimme Duke having absolutely no clue about any of it because that's not his shift, but he's good friends with this guy in a different major than himself named "Michael" and he's pretty sure the guy has figured out that Duke is a vigilante... but the guy observes Duke in the strangest way? Like, his body is turned to the side (to avoid the camera in the collar catching what Duke is doing) and his head turned to watch Duke bow out of whatever he's doing? And it's on purpose because Duke has seen the man quickly turn his body when Duke has something "suspicious" going on.
Gimme Damian admiring Phantom but just not trusting the guy. Phantom always seems so shifty even while doing such incredibly acts, always seeming to search for words to use and then having a seizure when words are coming easily to him. It's just so... strange to Damian but like, maybe it's due to the guy's powers or something. Robin goes about making documentation on whatever Phantom says before a seizure and it creates a bit of a pattern.
Gimme Cass, as each Bat is off to the side doing their own independent investigations into Danny and getting a different idea for what's going on, to show up for a night or two, meeting Phantom, and immediately going "that's not right" and pestering Phantom until she can figure out what caused her to think so.
Gimme Steph trusting Phantom at first, as much as a Bat can at least, but figuring out something is off and thinking it's because Phantom is there to harm the Batfam - which, not wrong even if it is reluctantly. So, Spoiler becomes very outspoken in distrusting Phantom and it's, quite frankly, a relief to Danny.

Duke knew Dick was being a dick by taking his sweet, sweet time eating his soggy gross cereal. Then making a point to get them both a hot cocoa because, and he quotes, ‘We don't need two caffeinated manic people at large in the manor!’
He would be getting back at him for even insinuating that this breakthrough is even close to one of Tim's manic moments.
Dick managed to make it to 7:00am before they went down into the cave and informed Danny of their new plan. Then finally called his magic teammate, though he did warn him that she might not answer until later.
Unsurprisingly, none of their calls went answered. ,Surprisingly, though, she did text back with:
“Kori has demanded a ‘Girls Day’”
Dick winced. “Ya, Raven will be M.I.A. for at least another day.”
“WHAT!” Duke screamed.
“Dude, do not ever try to ruin Kori's ‘Girls Day’ best case, she uses you as a sparring partner for a full week. Worst case, you ‘join’ them.”
“How is joining them the worst case?” Duke asked, anger deflating at the comment.
“You really don't want to know, but one aspect is being judge for any bake-offs they may have.” Dick shuddered.
Duke stared in disbelief at Dick. “What did you guys get up to in the Titian's Tower?”
“Mainly attempting to survive Kori's attempts at sharing her food culture.” Dick deadpanned.
—
Danny was not sure if he wanted to meet this ‘Kori’ person. If what Dick was saying about her attempts at cooking are true, she and his mom would get along like explosions in the lab. Something that Danny would not want any part of, the turkey was enough, thank you.
But he is sad that their other magic person wasn't available. Being a car was cool and fun of course, but it has been like, two days now…. And wow what a two days it has been. If. When he gets out of this, he is kicking Jason on the shin with some ghostly strength, and demanding his cookie recipe.
Danny tuned back into the conversation Dick and Duke were having in the back seat. He found it sweet that they moved there to include him in their recountings of insane mission stories. He wished he could actually talk and share some of his own stories. Seems like he will have to be content with playing laugh, groaning, and other reaction soundtracks until the magic users stop by.

There’s no dramatic music. No glowing countdown. No sign that reality just decided to ruin your day.
One second, Danny Fenton is mid-flight over Amity Park, chasing a ghost with a half-eaten burger still in his hand.
The next—
Everything tears.
Not explodes. Not shatters.
Tears.
Like someone dragged claws through the sky.
He lands hard.
But it’s not Amity anymore.
The air feels wrong. Heavy. Charged. Angry.
Danny looks up—
And immediately regrets having eyes.
The sky is filled with winged monsters. Buildings are on fire. People are screaming. Something massive is moving behind the clouds like a nightmare trying to crawl out of its cage.
“…okay,” Danny says slowly, “either I took a wrong turn or this is a really bad Tuesday.”
Then he looks down.
And pauses.
“…these are not my hands.”
Gloved. Scarred. Older.
There’s a sword at his side.
A very nice sword.
Danny picks it up.
It hums.
“Oh. Oh that’s fun.”
Somewhere else—
A completely different kind of disaster is happening.
They wake up on a rooftop.
Breathing hard.
Alive.
Which is already confusing.
Because the last thing they remember is being in the middle of a war zone, surrounded by enemies, barely holding the line—
And now?
Silence.
No explosions.
No screams.
Just… wind.
They sit up.
Look down.
Hoodie. Jeans. Sneakers.
No armor.
No weapons.
No—
“…no.”
They try to call their power.
Nothing answers.
Panic hits fast and sharp.
“No no no no—”
They rush to the edge of the building.
Below: a quiet street. A normal town. People walking. Cars passing.
No war.
No monsters.
No them.
“…where am I?”
Back in the apocalypse—
Danny is having a great time.
“Okay, so,” he narrates to absolutely no one, ducking under a blast of energy, “either I’m in someone else’s body or I got a serious upgrade overnight.”
He swings the sword.
A Parademon goes down.
“Leaning toward option one.”
Another one lunges.
Danny doesn’t even think—he phases halfway through the attack, solidifies, and kicks it away.
He freezes.
“…oh good, powers came with me. That would’ve been awkward.”
The comm in his ear crackles.
“Unidentified—state your status!”
Danny lights up.
“Oh cool, free tech.”
“Identify yourself.”
“Danny! Uh… I think I’m borrowing someone right now? Sorry about that.”
Pause.
“…what?”
“I think I soul-swapped with whoever this body belongs to. You guys seem busy though, so I’ll just—help?”
Another Parademon dives.
Danny flips, lands on a wall, runs three steps sideways like gravity is optional, then drops back down with a grin.
“Yeah, I’ll help.”
Across the battlefield, every hero listening comes to the same horrifying conclusion:
That is not their teammate.
“Track that signal,” Batman orders.
“Already on it,” Oracle says. “And you’re not going to like this.”
“I rarely do.”
“That energy spike? It’s not just the invasion.”
A beat.
“It’s him.”
Danny discovers the dog five minutes later.
It’s huge.
Glowing.
Three-eyed.
Growling like it could bite a tank in half.
Danny stares.
The dog stares back.
There’s a moment—
Then Danny crouches.
“…you look like a Cujo.”
The dog’s ears twitch.
“Oh my gosh, are you a good boy?”
The growling stops.
Tail—very slowly—wags.
“YES you are!”
Two minutes later—
Danny is riding the ghost dog straight through the battlefield.
“LEFT! LEFT—no your other left—yeah that one!”
They crash through enemies like a living wrecking ball.
Danny laughs, wind tearing past him, green energy flickering under his skin as Lazarus radiation curls toward him instead of away.
It doesn’t hurt.
It doesn’t corrupt.
It listens.
“…huh,” Danny mutters. “That’s new.”
Meanwhile—
His soulmate finds the truth the hard way.
They break into the lab.
Because of course there’s a lab.
And inside—
A mirror.
They look at it.
Really look.
Black hair.
Blue eyes.
Too young.
Too human.
“…Danny,” they whisper, reading the name off a scattered ID badge.
Memory flickers.
Not theirs.
His.
A ghost portal.
A lab accident.
A boy split between life and death.
Power—immense and unstable and lonely.
Their stomach drops.
“…you’re a child.”
Back in Gotham—
Things escalate.
Fast.
The sky splits wider.
Something begins to push through.
Not a creature.
Not exactly.
A presence.
Old. Hungry. Endless.
Even the Parademons hesitate.
Even the heroes step back.
Danny looks up.
Eyes wide.
Then—
He grins.
“Oh that is definitely not from around here.”
“Fall back!” someone shouts over comms. “That’s not something we can—”
Danny’s already moving.
“Okay, new plan,” he says, patting the dog’s head. “We go say hi.”
They launch.
Straight at it.
“STOP HIM—” Nightwing starts.
“—you’re not going to,” Red Robin says, watching the energy readings spike off the charts.
“Why not?”
“Because whatever he is?”
A beat.
“It’s not scared of that.”
Danny reaches the tear in the sky.
The thing behind it shifts.
Noticing him.
Focusing.
And for the first time—
It pauses.
Danny tilts his head.
“…oh. You can see me.”
The presence presses closer.
Curious.
Hungry.
Recognizing something it shouldn’t.
Danny’s voice drops.
Not playful anymore.
Not human.
“Yeah,” he says quietly. “I see you too.”
For a second—
The battlefield goes still.
Then Danny lifts a hand.
Green light floods the sky.
Cold. Ancient. Infinite.
Not Lazarus.
Not alien.
Something older than both.
“Hey,” Danny says.
Friendly.
Terrifying.
“Wrong universe.”
And he pushes.
The tear screams.
The presence recoils.
Reality snaps back like a stretched rubber band.
The sky seals.
The invasion stutters—
Then collapses.
Parademons scatter.
The war… ends.
Silence falls.
Danny blinks.
“…huh. That worked.”
Below—
Every hero is staring.
Batman steps forward.
Slow.
Measured.
“…who are you?”
Danny smiles.
A little sheepish now.
“Danny Fenton.”
A beat.
“…I think I’m your teammate’s soulmate?”
Across dimensions—
His soulmate finally understands why.
They look at Danny’s reflection again.
At the quiet town.
At the life he protects.
At the power he carries like it’s nothing.
“…of course you are,” they murmur.
Back in Gotham—
The ghost dog barks happily.
Danny hops down.
Hands the sword back like he didn’t just end an apocalypse with it.
DcxDp Idea/Dabble/Prompt(?) idk do what you want with this.
Warning: Mild Swearing, and Kon is probably OOC idk i wrote this at 2am and could not care less about keeping them in character
When Kon woke up in a stranger's bed, it wasn't for the fun reason. He didn't remember much from the day before, just that he'd been running on fumes. The past two weeks had been hell, between shutting down an illegal cloning facility that brought up far too many emotions, and Clark, because of said cloning facility, being extra cagey and avoidant. They weren't the closest before, but at least they could act like distant cousins as a family Potluck, but now Clark was avoiding him, and it was annoying! And then Lex decied he wasn't being enough of an asshole by just existing, and stirred up trouble at 1am, leading to Kon flying to the wrong appartment. Truthfully, Kon just hoped he didn't scare the person too much, he didn't have a secret identity to really worry about, not like the Bats or Arrows did, and he hoped his costume was enough not to give the stranger a heart attack, they didn't call the police at least so that was hopefully a good sign.
As Kon rose from the bed, he did a quick sweep of the room. He wasn't a Bat, but he spent enough time around them to pick up a few practices. The room was simple, modest size, with a king bed pushed against the wall. The bed had a star patterned comforter, but on the desk, next to a bookshelf, was a pile of collage level books, and a number of space themed modles decorated the shelves, along with a few NASA posters. Whoever lived here definately had a thing for space. Next to the bed was a bedside lamp, on it a pill organizer with four slots empty, and on the floor on the same side was a large dog bed covered in a constellation pattern, and the word "Sol" embroidered on it, and it was then that Kon noticed a number of dog toys scattered across the floor, and a dog vest sitting on the desk chair. So the dog either didn't see him as a threat, was so friendly it didn't mind intruders, or the owner stopped the dog before it could think to attack him.
With his environment clocked, Kon finally paid attention to the rest of the appartment, listening further down the hall. He could hear quiet, almost silent, footfalls scurrying around, given the smell of butter and flour, the kitchen, along with the sizzle of something wet as it met a hot skillet, and the low clicking of animal nails on hardwood as the dog lazily followed after something hard, a ball perhaps.
Kon thought about just leaving, the window he presumably came in from was right there after all, but somehow that felt rude. He broke into this person's house and probably scared the crap out of them, at least a little bit, so the least he could do was not be a total ass and apologize. Hopefully they won't try to hold this over him somehow.
Carefully, Kon exited the bedroom, cautiously making his way down the stretch, passing the bathroom and a few pictures on the wall of three kids from the age of about 12 up to 18 where they were holding their highschool diplomas. Kon's lips quirked a bit at that, eyeing each picture fondly, slightly jealous of such a strong friendship. After looking at the pictures, and dodging dog toys as he walked, Kon exited the hallway and came into the kitchen, which opened into the living room and entryway, seeing as it was a small apartment. The living room was furnished with a simple dark blue couch atop a fuzzy off white rug, a small coffee table, a television sitting atop an entertainment center with a beat up gaming console beside it, another bookshelf next to the window, and three other dog beds, one next to the TV, and two by either side of the couch, with more dog toys sprinkled in. And then, Kon turned, coming face to face with the dog in question.
It, he?, was on the lager side of medium-sized with a slightly fluffy coat, and upright ears, he was a goldish looking coloring with a tiny bit of white on his chest. Kon didn't know enough about dogs to even guess at what breed he was, if he was even a purebred at all, but even if he couldn't be hurt by the dog, he didn't want to provoke him. Abandoned at the dogs paws sat some kind of open faced rubber ball, with what looked like food in it. The dog seemed to scrutinize Kon for a moment, before going back to the ball thing, shoving his nose inside to lick at more food, and Kon let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. And then a chuckle sounded behind him, and he whipped around.
"Sorry, Sol's a bit judgemental of strangers." Kon easily recognized the man, he was one of the kids in the photos, with black hair and eyes so bright blue they almost looked like they belonged in a cartoon. But he also looked slightly different in person, his hair was longer, not long-long, but enough for a short ponytail and his skin was pale and kind of sparkling, not like a Twilight Vampire, but almost like he was dusted in a light sheen of morning frost. He was taller than one would expect, but he was very skinny, almost like he didn't eat enough, but not to a sickly amount. "You're quiet, did he scare you? I'm sorry about that, he really is harmless. Well, harmless as any animal is at least."
Kon, realizing he was staring, quickly cleared his throat. "No- sorry. I'm still trying to wake up. Last night was, rough."
The man laughed easily and turned back into the kitchen where he went back to cooking, keeping his hand firmly on the counter as he moved to the stove. "I'd say, how'd you manage to mix up appartments so bad?" As he spoke he carefully poured the last bit of pancake batter on the griddle and moved to the sink, where he washed the bowl.
Kon shrugged. "I have no clue, it's been a stressful two weeks between- family drama and work."
The man, he really should ask for his name, snorted. "Been there, done that, moved out of state." He said breezily. "Are you going to stay an eat or do you want to get going? I made extra just incase but I can have the leftovers tomorrow if you just want to go home. Its just pancakes and some fruit I needed to cut up."
Kon hesitated. He didn't want to inconvenience this guy any more than he already did, but he was hungry, both from emotional exhaustion and physical exhaustion. Also, this guy was just, really nice, in a way that reminded him of Ma and Pa, just warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental. Kon felt like he could tell this guy anything, which was a terrifying feeling to get from a stranger. "Breakfast sounds really good actually." He admitted.
"Have a seat and I'll bring it over." Kon did as told, shuffeling over to the island that seperated the kitchen from the entryway and sat down. "So, what can I call you? Because I've kinda just been referring to you as window guy in my head and its starting to get annoying. I'm Danny, incase you were having a similar problem."
Kon couldn't help it, he laughed shortly before sobering up. "Ah you don't recognize me, ouch!" He joked lightly, but he was confused. He was obviously one of the Supers, he was wearing the costume as everything.
Danny didn't look up from flipping the last pancake. "Are you famous or something?" He asked genuinely. "Because if you are I'm one of the last people who can recognize you on looks alone, since I'm blind."
Kon blinked in surprise. Blind, that was something unexpected, but then again, was it really? Kon thought back to the vest on the desk chair, and how it didn't look like any normal dog vest, and from where he sat, he could even see a cane standing near the door. There was also the way Danny moved, his carefully placed hands on the counters or fridge, every movement mindful even though it was his own home. It was subtle, but then again Kon really didn't know much about the blind community either so he didn't know what was normal. Not wanting the silence to linger and give the wrong impression, Kon kept talking. "No, I'm not famous I just get mistaken for one of the Wayne's sometimes, in Gotham, at first glance I kind of look like one of them so its a common mistake." He lied smoothly.
"Oooh, yeah I would never have made that mistake. I'm not completely blind, I can see a little bit and my left eye has more sight than the right, but I can't make out details like that unless I'm really close and trying really hard." Danny explained setting down the food, followed soon by the plates and cutlery. "Also, while I've been to Gotham a few times, my friend Sam is currently helping a- well known- er botanist, so I visit from time to time, but I've never even met a Wayne, nor can I recognize them. So, Mr. Not a Wayne, what is your name?"
Kon huffed a laugh, his friend was definitely in cahoots with Poison Ivy, so Danny probably has run into the Wayne's, or at least the Bats at one point and just hadn't realised. Helping himself to some pancakes, Kon answered his question. "My name is Conner, but everyone calls me Kon. It's nice to meet you."
Danny grinned at him, showing off slightly sharpened teeth. "Likewise Kon. Though next time, let's not meet with you climbing in through my window, yeah?"
Despite the bite of pancake in his mouth, Kon started laughing, already vowing to drag Danny to meet Tim, Cassie, and Bart, and maybe even Ma and Pa, because something tells him, they'd get on like a house on fire.
Notes:
-Due to Danny's accident, he lost a lot of his ability to see. His right eye is worse than his left, and he can still see a little bit, but hes very much legally blind. As Phantom/a Ghost he can see perfectly well, and he also has, what Tucker named "Ghost Sight" where Danny can focus on turning just his eyes into a ghost so he can see but Ghost Sight is extremely draining, dries out his eyes, and gives him major headaches so he uses it sparingly/not at all. When living with his parents Danny didn't dare ever think about getting a Guide Dog, it just wouldn't be safe. But when Danny went off and moved out on his own, he immediately looked into getting one and thus got Sol. Danny is perfectly capable of moving and functioning in his own home without Sol, or even his canes, but on the city streets its definitely harder.
-Sol is a German Shepherd/Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever mix[50% GSD, 25% GR, & 25% LR], he's kind of a no nonsense dog that you can just tell has a very dry sense of humor even though he can't speak.
-Platonic or Romantic Endgame, doesn't matter
