Currently reading: anna karenina. i read about 1/3 of it 20+ years ago and picked a new translation up this past december--in part because i wrote some throwaway line about hutch reading it and the idea got stuck in my head. but it was the translator's note that really hooked me into reading it; basically, the translators said one of their goals was to retain as much of the russian language weirdness as they could (also learning that tolstoy imbued one character in particular with a bunch of his autobiographical quirks was a nice reminder that not just fic writers do this. heh!)

Currently watching: far too much doctor who! i'm on episode 4 of "ark in space" and episode 2 of "the mind robber."

Currently obsessed with: classic who (see above), especially two and his emotional support scotsman, jamie. Also (perpetually?) starsky and hutch. having a lot of thoughts about bossy!hutch lately.

currently obsessed with: honestly? yall ever heard of the magnus archives? they just came out with the second one but like a month ago my bf put me onto it because he started listening to them at work. shit kinda slaps but i’m waiting to finish out the first one before looking through any of the tags.

(side note the suspensions or whatever you call em in fantasy are brilliant)

currently reading: omniscient reader’s viewpoint webnovel and webtoon, when the music stops (managers, maestros and the corporate murder of cla$$ical music) by norman lebrecht (it’s an interesting one it’s really quite confusing and 400 pages long !!), and the god of small things by arundhati roy, it’s kinda a slow one but i’m also not that far in. it’s good though

currently watching: last friday i started watching what i think was called big boys? with family, it’s got the guy who plays james from derry girls as one of the main characters and it’s good i like it. uhhh we finished w1a and i’m not sure if we’re gonna watch the predecessor of twenty twelve or not. oh right i am watching adventure time in my own time but it’s been a while, i should watch some more at some point

Currently reading: oh god like- eight books all at once? I’m not good at finishing books before I move on to the next. However, the last book I read was in class today for silent reading, it’s called the outsiders. It’s about gang life and stuff like that, ive only read like 40 page in, it’s really good so far but has some hard hitting stuff
