Project SEKAI Colorful Stage feat. Hatsune Miku is a rhythm game, which follows a cast of twenty (20) original characters, not including the VOCALOIDs. Ichika Hoshino is the main character. The other icons of the groups are Minori Hanasato (MMJ), Kohane Azusawa (VBS), Tsukasa Tenma (WxS), and Kanade Yoisaki (N25).
The story of the group Leo/Need follows childhood friends Ichika Hoshino, Saki Tenma, Honami Mochizuki, and Shiho Hinomori. As small children, they wanted to start a band, but were forced to disband after Saki fell terminally ill and was hospitalized. Years later, when the girls are in highschool, Saki is discharged and able to attend school. Initially, Saki wants to get the band back together, but the other girls have somewhat grown apart. They get teleported to a magical place called SEKAI, formed by all of their feelings, and meet Hatsune Miku. After some fighting, they get the band back together! Their dream is to go pro one day, which they do end up doing.
The story of MORE MORE JUMP follows idol otaku, Minori Hanasato and three (3) retired idols: Haruka Kiritani, Airi Momoi, and Shizuku Hinomori. Minori encounters them and attempts to convince them to be idols with her, though she has failed over 50 idol auditions. At one point, they all feel like quitting and MMJ nearly fails. Haruka feels like she can't be an idol anymore because she accidentally hurt a dear friend of hers in her old group, ASRUN. Airi doesn't want to anymore because she's always been taken as a joke of an idol. Shizuku feels pressured to always be the "perfect idol." In the end, they get it together and form MORE MORE JUMP.
