· He seems to be more aesthetically attracted to people than actual attraction.

· He doesn't seem to hold a crush for long.

· He likes the concept of romance more than actual romance.

· He gets annoyed when he hears others talk about romance (specifically Chase).

· In the one book where he got a love interest that was obsessed with him he got tired of her very quickly.

· He's a character that spent most of his life trying to fit into a certain standard e.g. becoming a doctor and dressing a certain way to please his parents. Being girl crazy is one of the things he thought he SHOULD do because it was the norm.

· His story and experiences are very similar to a lot of arospec people.

· He sees romance as a form of entertainment more than an experience (proven by how many romance books he reads).

· Chase has many times tried to set him up with girls which Deacon self sabotages (could be because he's shy around girls but could also be his gut telling him he doesn't want this).

· A lot of arospec people relate to him and is their favourite character.

· This is more of an observation than anything and it's definitely a stretch but his outfits went from a cool blue tone to a warm orange one. And which flag has both of those colours?
