Vampire Slayer: Pitch
This is a little pitch I made for myself on a big story idea I'm working on. I want to see this through, so I'm posting this as a teaser and a reminder for myself to continue working on it. Also writing these types of story descriptions helps me get my thoughts down.
A young woman wanders the streets. A young woman wanders the desert. A young woman wanders the mission. None of them would recognize the other's faces, but they would feel in their hearts that they were twisted kindred.
Who is the woman on the streets? She is a broken person, on her last leg and looking for sustenance wherever it might be found. There is someone looking for her. A savior, maybe. A threat, definitely. But they offer salvation in their prerogative, and strength in their conviction. The woman on the streets will follow to her ruin, if she must. She had nowhere left to go.
Who is the woman in the desert? She is a vengeful outlaw, seeking to harm the world that has harmed her. There is someone seeking her. A shaking hand that seeks glory at the end of a stake. Yet the heart behind the blow wavers and is ill prepared. Can it strike true, or will the woman in the desert live another day? There may be hope for her in one so unprepared.
Who is the woman in the mission? She is a bright mind, a hope for the future against the tides of evil. There is something watching her. It coaxes her to accept her destiny and rise to become one of the great figures of this godless land. Yet there is malice in the salvation offered to her. Doom and dread awaits, this she knows. She will face it with courage in her heart and fire in her eyes.
The wheel turns, and someone new turns it with each revolution. Yet the rot at the hub persists, mocking and attacking the woman with each turn. Can she break the wheel she is so cruelly lashed to? Or will she succumb to the rot and become what she has always hated and feared? Only time with tell. Maybe this revolution will be the one that leads to freedom from her fate.
