"He is mesmerized every time she smiles, it's that sparkle in her eyes.. he adores her, you can see it in his. He looks at her lips, they are so beautiful that he can barely think.. she said something but he wasn't listening. He dashed forward and planted a little peck on the corner of her mouth, she smiled again and leaned forward to kiss him. He met her in the middle and every star in the sky glittered like fireworks when their lips touched.. at least it did for them. You can call it magic, but me.. I call it love."
There's no magic like two people falling in love - eUë
“Because! Because…ah fuck, fine – because I want you to think I’M pretty. I know it’s stupid ok! I know. I’m the one who gets time with you. I get snapchat streaks and playlists and boba. I get trampoline parks and laser tag and weekend trips. All she gets is “pretty”. And I wouldn’t trade any of that for ANYTHING. If I had to choose, I’d choose this, us, our friendship, every single time. It shouldn’t even bother me, I get so much more than ‘pretty’ when I’m with you I just–”
“Pretty?”, he whispers. “You don’t think I think you’re ‘pretty?’”
“That. That is why I didn’t want to tell you. I don’t need you to give me pity compliments, I’ll be fine, I promise. It’s dumb to be upset over something that little anyway. Who cares if you think I’m pretty as long as we’re still friends ok? Can we please talk about something else?”
“Ok first of all, I didn’t know my complimenting her bothered you so much and I’m sorry. I won’t bring it up again. Second, no we absolutely can not talk about something else. Lily you are pretty, but I don’t bring it up for a few reasons. A, your importance to me is so much greater than my finding you attractive. B, I know people in your past have made you feel like beauty is all you had to offer and I never wanted you to feel that with me. C, we’re friends and that friendship is one of the very most important things in my life and I would never want to risk it by touching topics that could complicate it.”
“Well…thank you. That makes–”
“I’m not done. Lily, you are gorgeous. I mean just insanely beautiful. You don’t seem to know it either, at least not the extent of the effect you have. But guys glare at me when we’re out together. More than just Nathan have come up to me at work about you. Customers have asked about you. Remember that one time you asked if I’ve ever had a hard time talking to you? Uh duh, of course I have. Do you remember how shy I was at first? How we didn’t talk much? You were so genuinely nice I eventually got over it but don’t think for a second it doesn't take most of my concentration to hold a conversation, especially when you look me in the eye. I could get lost in your eyes for eternity. Every time you’d look up from your work, see me, and smile, my heart stopped. The fact that I, even for a moment, could make you happy made my heart skip a beat. Looking at you is like looking at the sun. You’re radiant and drop dead gorgeous and you’re my best friend and I would NEVER trade that friendship for something more if it meant even the possibility of losing you so under any other circumstances I would never be admitting this. But I can’t let you think I don’t think you’re pretty because you are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen and no one else- not Evie, not anyone- can hold a candle to you.”
IMO, it’s helpful to think of offerings in terms of acts of hospitality. For example, when you have a guest over, it’s customary to offer them a drink such as ice water, tea, or perhaps something stronger if you have it and they like that sort of thing. Now of course you don’t want to be miserly with your offerings and you do want to give your deities something they actually like, but the idea that something like, say, a glass of ice water just can’t be good enough because your offerings must be this exact expensive/inaccessible thing is just spiritual gentrification. Water might seem awfully unremarkable, but it’s one of the most basic necessities of life and that is why we offer it to guests; because they might be thirsty after their trip to your home. And sure, it’s nice to offer guests something fancier if you have it. But I think we can agree that water should be acceptable to to your guests if it’s what you have. What constitutes hospitality could also be used to inform what else you might offer your deities. Perhaps you could offer them a chair to sit on. Perhaps you could offer them a homemade cookie or even just a mint candy. Of course there’s going to be no one-size-fits-all answer here, but thinking of offerings as a matter of hospitality can still give you some idea of what might be appropriate.
Types of Water Divination
Hydromancy: divination using water
The flow of water speaks to the intensity of current and/or upcoming events. To practice this method, dip a metal ring in water and gauge the movements like using a pendulum for "yes/no," or interpret the answer from the number of ripples that arise.
Acultomancy: divination with needles
Using needles in water or flour, the diviner would interpret shapes and patterns created by the needles in the substance. 21 or 7 needles would be used following the question being asked. The broken line may mean traveling or heading on a new journey. The parallel lines may mean money in the future, either given or taken away. The vertical lines are meant as guided roads to take. The horizontal lines may mean what the fate will be.
Ceroscopy: divination with molten wax in water
Light the candle with your question in mind and allow the wax to drop into the bowl of water. As the wax forms shapes and pattens, use these to interpret an answer to your question.
Quercusmancy: divination with acorns and oak trees
Lovers can drop acorns into the corner of a body of water. If the acorns touch, the lovers are meant to be. Acorns were also carried as lucky charms. If an oak tree shed its leaves, an oath was said to be broken.
Lecanomancy: divination with oil and water
Drop oil or rocks into a bowl of water and interpret the shapes and ripples in answer to your question.

Thank you so much for supporting your local witch!
For those in the US asking “where can I buy good witchy books?” - this looks like an answer!
For those of us elsewhere in the world, I would recommend every book I’ve read off this list, and have heard great things about a bunch of the others, so I’m totally treating this as reading list inspiration! I wonder how many of them my libraries have…
My To Be Read just grew exponentially and I’m grateful for it
This is an old post for @pbwzindistro wait until you see all the new stuff we add weekly!
Whose trynna claim this blessing with me?! 😝🙌🏾✨
Not even hidden just from oppressors, enslavers, non believers or those who would harm us or call us crazy or sinners
But from the hoteps who preach Afrikan spirituality but yet still believe in misogyny, heteronormativity or forms of queerphobia
From those who steal and appropriate practices and rituals from African/Indigenous beliefs, not originating from their ancestry and not meant for them or their journeys
From Lightworkers who forsake Shadow Work for the aesthetic of “love and light” and haven’t dealt with their demons
Even down to the Black spiritual folks who tell other Black practitioners that they shouldn’t call themselves “Witch” though the word comes from Kemet...

“My late father was in Auschwitz concentration camp, my late mother was in Majdanek concentration camp. Every single member of my family on both sides was exterminated. Both of my parents were in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. Buyer Beware! Services To NEVER Buy from Witches and Psychics!
Hey there Skeptics, today we're talking about things to absolutely never buy from other Witches or Psychics! This might get me some flak from other witches/psychics who sell their services, but I feel this is very important. We do NOT support scammers in this household.
Note: Not every witch service is a scam, but those who charge too much just, is. There isn't an argument you can make for it. Witches/Psychics who only take donations, or fairly price their services, I fucking love you.
Here is a list of services to never buy, as well as the reasoning behind why you shouldn't.
Mediumship/Spiritwork - This skill is very, very easy to fake, as you can do Cold Readings (something anyone can learn) in order to make it seem real, it's basically educated guessing. Many Mediums also do Hot Readings, where they can look you up either by your name/phone number/email address and research you. You can *never* be sure if someone is actually talking to your loved one, or if they googled you. It is just too risky. I know of too many Mediums who were just scammers, some even being my own distant family members. I urge you, if you still want to speak to a Medium, find one that is cheap and seems reputable, or better yet, find someone who takes donations only! Find people that aren't doing this as a job. (Because tbh only contacting people's dead loved ones based on how much money they can give you is just straight up a shitty thing???)
Energy Healing - This is pseudo-science, and has not be proven to have any real effects on people, there is only ancedotal evidence which can be explained away by placebo. Not only that, many energy healers claim to heal physical illness, which is impossible. Physical illnesses cannot be healed by anything other than physical medicine. Mental illnesses also cannot be healed without therapy, medications, and other proven solutions. If you are going to see an energy healer, make sure that it is only to heal your energy (even though we have no proof that it does anything). Do not go there to get physical illnesses or mental illnesses healed.
Supplements - So, this ties into the whole Energy Healing deal. Supplements that witches or psychics have created themselves should not be bought if they are claiming to cure illnesses or prevent illnesses. If they really did, they would just be medication. Remember, things that seem too good to be true most likely are!
Spells - Now, I want to clairify I mean someone preforming a spell for you, not a spell recipe. The thing with Spells is that you don't know if they will actually work, you don't know if the witch preforming the spell can actually do what they are claiming. This is a very easy way to scam people. I have seen people on Etsy sell money spells, love spells, etc. They don't give you a physical product, and I think that's just... scamming. If you are going to purchase a spell, again I suggest only purchasing from people who also give you something physical in return, or that provide cheaper services. Also, be aware that this spell you purchase straight up might not work.
Expensive Tarot Readings - I want to make the distinction between normal Tarot Readings and Expensive Tarot Readings. Tarot Reading interpretations can be a sort of service that is legitimate, as you are sharing information/interpretation. However, Tarot in general should never be used to make huge decisions. I would like you to use your discretion, again look for cheaper readings, or donation only Tarot Readers, or maybe a Patreon deal. Do not ever pay someone $50 for a reading.
No matter what you do, if you end up buying something from here, please know what you're purchasing and know that it might not be what you wanted. If you aren't getting some sort of physical product in return, I say stay away from it. And if the physical product is a pill or something claiming to cure illness, still stay away from it!
This is blatant misinformation y’all. Use your discernment and stop undervaluing practitioner’s spiritual services. There are plenty of legitimate people offering all of these services and to just make a blanket statement stating otherwise is straight up false.
I wanted to share pics of my ancestral medication process!
For those who are confused see this post here.
The steps are as followed:
1) Remove the label from your bottle. Cleanse it with oil/water made for the purpose of cleansing. I use Florida Water. I offer it to my ancestors, so I found it fitting.
2) Write your letter to your ancestors/spirits. Be specific and sure of what you want. Explain why you're doing it and who you're writing it for. See my prototype!
3) Wrap it around a gemstone to charge it. I used selenite due to its spiritual properties.
4) Anoint the paper in the same oil/water. Because it's an offering I once again use Florida water.
5) you're done! Put it on your altar with your other offerings!
Things to consider:
Keep your intentions clear the entire time you're doing this. Or at least keep the atmosphere. I listened to Bigger by Beyonce the whole time!
