this is like part two of the experiment post for tlcshipweeks. 1/22/19
Winter and Jacin were able to keep up the secret dating for a little while. Jacin had made the professional decision to be changed to a different section of the guard for most of his time, only being assigned as Winterâs guard every so often. He still managed to see her when he wasnât assigned to her, but those times were passing times.
They were a planning a date for this evening, when Jacin would accompany the princess on her walk. The two were careful where they went and theyâd found people they could trust in the village. They visited the same few shops and the cafes where Winter knew the shopkeepers were trustworthy. They wouldnât trade the information about this secret love affair for power.
When Jacin met the princess at her bedroom door, he bowed professionally without a word. He needed to keep the facade of a guard until they were far enough away from the palace. But of course, Winter was her usual bubbly self when she greeted Jacin. This was not out of the ordinary. To the rest of the kingdom Winter was a loon, so she played that to her advantage.
