Getting a small tabletop IKEA greenhouse for my kitchen was both the best and worst idea.

I return just to post a wip create a sim cress then dip.

Yet again I am on about my cress, well, that's the main thing I ever talk about, but idrc, so, going straight onto why I chose this title!!

I have chosen to skip cadets today to closely monitor the growth of my cress - Monday 6th July 2026 at 1811 -. But now the roots that were revealing themselves have begun to grow green around the seed itself!! This means it's going well. I would inspect it with a magnifying glass but gosh, my desk is in a state, or it's just because I can't be bothered.

BUT WAIT!! I got 48/60 on my science test, 80% and the highest in my class, not to mention I'm in set 1 AND got full marks on a non-calculator maths paper earlier this half-term. Though the government controls those who make these tests, and the government is dumb, so I am not surprised I have gotten above 75% on all of my tests recently. You know, I'm going off the plot right now, I don't care because I actually have nothing more to discuss about my cress and I would rather discuss my spring onion. It is growing quickly, which is making me ecstatic! But it is a bit weary to look after because I have NO idea if it's dying or not. But oh well.

Let me give you some examples

- caregiver and guardian attempted to kill them when they were just a baby

- are seen and considered to be a monster by society as well as ableism against them

- generally talk to beings who may or may not be inanimate

- first time going into the outside world, they seem to be accepted but then are rejected and betrayed by society

- longing to belong with the people down below

- are constantly gaslit by their caretaker that they are a monster and a stain to the world

- slight idolization towards person that was kind to them for the first time in their life

- realizes their self worth and are able to find acceptance and belonging at the end

- their evil caretaker or guardian falls to their death (I know gothel fell to her death too but so did Frollo)

- genuinely faces discrimination and racism

All I’m saying that as much as we like to compare cress to rapunzel for characterization, we should also consider that Cress and Quasimodo are pretty damn similar too
